The Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is an agency of the Missouri Supreme Court and is responsible for investigating allegations of misconduct by lawyers, prosecuting the cases where a lawyer’s misconduct poses a threat to the public or to the integrity of the legal profession, and maintaining current records of disciplinary information for lawyers licensed to practice law in Missouri.

When lawyers enter the practice of law in Missouri, they obligate themselves to uphold the law and to abide by the Rules of Professional Conduct governing members of The Missouri Bar. The purpose of attorney discipline is to protect the public and the administration of justice from attorneys who have not discharged their professional duties to clients, the public, the legal system, and the legal profession. The professional conduct of attorneys is governed by Supreme Court Rule 4 and the discipline process is governed by Supreme Court Rule 5. How to Complain about or Report Professional Misconduct
Attorneys may file complaints with the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel against other attorneys. In addition, Rule 4-8.3 may require that an attorney report professional misconduct to the OCDC under certain circumstances. Complaints/reports must be submitted in writing to the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel by use of a downloaded complaint form or by letter. You may download and print the blank form or you may complete the “Fill-in Form” here and then print it. At this time, the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel is not able to accept complaints/reports by e-mail.

Complaints/reports should provide the full name and address of the attorney, the nature of the legal matter, the caption of any court case involved in the representation, the name of the court where any case is pending, a detailed, factual statement of what occurred including specific complaint(s) about the attorney’s conduct, and the complainant’s/reporter’s name, address and telephone number.

If you are complaining/reporting about the conduct or more than one attorney, you should submit separate complaint forms or write out the information on separate sheets of paper.It is important to remember that lawyers are human. I hired one attorney and that one left the firm. The one the Firm assigned to me has done nothing but cause delays and procrastiantion. I didn't get a choice of attorney when my original one left. The office staff is difficult and even after getting no result or even a attempt to try to reach my result they still charge me and make no attempt to make right all the work my previous attorney did on my case. Please stay away. Its a difficult decision and to play Russian roulette with a attorney that your paying only makes the situation difficult.

Tracy the office manager is the most manipulative deceptive person and will NOT make any attempt to provide good customer service. Tracy treats the clients as if they should be subserviant to her- forgetting that the clients derserve to be treated fairly.Yes They will pad your bill with charges not agreed to and their accounting is terrible. Due to the firms unethicial behavior it will be documented and presented to the Bar administration for review. Stay away- you will get ripped off.
