Used Kevin for our adoption, we are a adoptive family. Cant say anything negative. Was very informative. Prompt responses. He also seemed to genuinely care, checking in with us even after the finalization . We had to hire a seperate attorney for the birth mom and dad but he handled everything with that. Including one itemized bill. He came with the highest recommendation from Catholic Charities.

I'm a birth mother,
I did some research before reaching out to Mr. Kenney to find an attorney who would represent me for our adoption. I already had an adoptive family who I was very close with and a plan in place. Basically we just needed Mr. Kenney to handle my legal side of things. Well after meeting with Mr. Kenney he was very informative as I explained our situation and how I wanted things to go. We emailed several times during this process as well about expenses, process, and how long things would take. After Mr. Kenney was retained by the adoptive parents, he stopped responding to my emails promptly. By promptly I mean at least 24-48 hrs. I would always have to call or email to follow up on a email or question I had asked him. The adoptive parents even had to email him and contact him several times on my behalf. He received money from the adoptive parents for my living expenses and held the expenses for several days (3) before even notifying me he had received it. The adoptive parents were the ones who had to tell me they called in to pay for my expenses. He then decided to make his own plan on what I would receive, after everything was outlined before clearly before hand. That was not acceptable and I attempted to communicate with him about it. He actually was very dismissive and was not professional at all. He wanted to argue with me about what was communicated and the proof of emails I had. Which he refused to even look at. He later (2 days) sent me an email saying he would not work with me anymore. After having been paid a retainer and holding the money for my monthly expenses. I'm currently in the process of having things shut off because of what he has done to our family. The adoptive parents are out of several thousands of dollars as well. This is not ethical at all! I'm 6 weeks close to my due date and he has ruined our relationship because of this. I would not recommend this attorney at all. He is very unprofessional and is taking money from adoptive parents and birth parents money for living expenses. I was nothing but informative and honest with him from the beginning. I did not receive that in return. After I have a successful pregnancy, I would love to speak with someone about what my rights are to create an official complaint about this attorney. He literally scammed us. Any information would be very appreciated. Be careful in working with this type of attorney.

Very knowledgeable and compassionate about adoption.
This is a man that will take your case, not if he feels he can help you, but if he can absorb money from the matter at hand. If you are helped by this so called man, it is a coincidence. I wouldn't roll the dice.
