Don't expect the cheapest attorney in town. It was not always smooth sailing with my two cases and sometimes I got a bit frustrated but I'm sure that in the heat of battle, anyone will get frustrated. I don't think that the would be the case had I chosen an attorney based on cost.

Anthony is very nice lawyer, I'm sure he can do good work with certain people. I went to him for a divorce case dealing with only property, no kids. It was $200 for a consultation only. When I went to the consult I let him know I have no kids just a home to split and a truck to refinance to get my name off of it. I asked him about the real estate and how that would play out in the divorce. His response, " I don't know I'm not a real estate lawyer." When he said that, I no longer felt comfortable with his law knowledge. Divorces deal with real estate, I felt like he should of had something to tell me. After that he said "Go talk to your ex and let him know you want to split the home in half, he needs to refinance the truck to get your name off of it, then whatever equity you make from the house needs to go back directly into taxes. If he agrees to everything you pay me $2500" I liked his plan EXCEPT if I wanted to make my own deal with my ex I would just do it myself through the state of Missouri and not pay $2500 for a lawyer to sit in his office and collect a signature. The other part of what Anthony said was "If he doesn't agree, it's $3500 and I'll do the paperwork. There are no payment plans." I understand lawyers are not cheap but I figured he would give me a better understanding of what to expect from splitting property in a divorce, plus, I have no kids!! This should have been an easy one for him. I'm just not confident with Anthony handling my case.

I worked with Anthony on my divorce case in November through January. He was highly recommended. I had thought it would be an easy divorce however things became more complicated as it went on.
In my opinion, communication with Anthony was lacking. As was motivation.
My Ex's lawyer sent a proposal in which I would pay 100% of the mutual debt and give her $8,000 in equity from our shared home. Anthony's response was "you should take it, it's a fair deal"
Upon getting a second opinion, I chose to end the working relationship and required a reimbursement on funds that were not used. At this time his communication get much better (charging me for each message) and then, when the courts approved a change of representation, I had to notify him and remind him to reimburse me
The divorce is now over, my new attorney found over $60,000 in assets from my Ex. 401k, inheritance, etc. That she has "forgotten to mention " not only did i NOT have to pay any equity from the home, i also have to pay a very very low percentage of the mutual debt. And I've kept my house.
In my personal opinion of my review of Mr. Moreno, I believe that he was interested in the case when he thought it would be easy, and when a challenge was represented, he gave up. Had I taken his opinion I would be in nearly $38,000 worth of debt and would have to sell my house to try and get out from under someone of it. It's really a shame as he came recommended. That being said , I'm sure he is wonderful for easy separations and traffic tickets but, for a case that depends on investigation and attention to detail I would suggest finding a better fit
