Bill seems like a very nice man when you meet him. But once Bill quotes you a price and let’s some time pass, they switch your lawyer, without asking for your permission, to Michael. From then on all meetings, conversations, court hearings; everything’s with Michael. Haven’t really seen Bill since, even though Bill is the one with his name on the business that your expecting to be working with. But the actual issue is a matter of costs. Bill will initially quote you a fair and square retainer. When I asked if there would be any other additional fees, I was told that that was unlikely. It’s not until later on when the “additional fees” show up, that you won’t know anything about until the last possible minute because they withheld invoices and neglected to inform me in any way what I was being charged for or when I had somehow gone over the retainer that I had paid them. It was my first time working with a lawyer and I’m assuming they knew that, which I’m assuming is why they never provided me with a single invoice the entire two years that I worked with them until the probate case was drawing to a close. That’s when they informed me that somehow I now owed them an additional $3000 on top of the $3700 that I had originally paid them. When I tried to argue this, they then sent me an email claiming the only way they would move forward with closing my case was if I sent them an additional payment. I paid them not knowing what else to do.
My suggestion if you chose to work with these particular lawyers is to already have a law degree. Then, you should be fine.

I love working with the people at this law office. They are extremely knowledgeable and set up my trust to fit my personal needs. I have visited them several times and have always found them to be very friendly and responsive. They are professional and have never oversold what I needed. I recommend them very highly. Mr. Lewis is probably the most thoughtful and intelligent man I know. He guided me and taught me the importance of having a trust. He took his time explaining the various components of a trust and he answered all my questions and even questions I wasn't even thinking about. It's worth even cent I had to get my life and future in order. My family will greatly benefit from Mr. Lewis knowledge.
