He accepted our claim for VA disability, was starting to pursue it, and then dropped us without clear reasons, by mail, stating only "I cannot represent you in the way you wish to be represented". I don't even know what that means. I tried to get clarification from his office, but his secretary/paralegal could offer none, and he wouldn't speak with us on the phone. I cannot recommend this attorney.

While Mr. Carpenter was representing me, and been paid by the government at the same time, he got into a legal fight against the government which stretched out for years and for no concern for me, he just stuffed his pockets with money from the government and wanted more.if you want proper representation, go to a certified service organization, such as that of the VFW, DAV, American Legion, etc.
The problem at the time, was the government wasn't wanting to pay these lawyers and still get 30% from the veteran,and he was fighting that.
