They say they help homeless people to get back on their feet but they only help local people they don't help anybody that's out of state if you're out of state and you need a place to stay don't ever go to emporia rescue mission they are liars rude people the director has a rule that if you are from out-of-state you're not allowed to stay there no matter what so my advice if you pass through emporia check with the salvation army they will help you but don't go too the rescue mission that place should be shut down

I have reason to believe that bullying, and favoritism is rampant here. Management refuses to take it seriously. High school nonsense has no place in an establishment people go to in order to straighten their lives up. Absolutely pathetic.

Made a few new friends there and it was a cool place

It helps men when they need to get back on their feet. Especially when you have to leave where your at . then what? Get a motel? It only last so long before you have to go but at the mission you get time to save up to get a job and a place of your own. So helpful
