I found out I had an emergency hearing to prohibit me from relocating with my children on a Thursday night for the following Wednesday (TODAY). I found Mark Bosworth and he took my case on a Friday evening and worked diligently through the whole weekend to make sure we had the best rebuttals and response to their motion and my god did he perform!!! I was a nervous wreck and I probably emailed him and text him way too many times but he was always quick to respond and compassionate towards my situation. We came out with exactly what we wanted and I cannot be more grateful for Mark. I would recommend him to absolutely anyone and I will be forever appreciative and grateful for him!!!!! I was nervous going into our case because my last experience wasn't the best, but they were so good at answering questions, helping me feel at ease and reassuring me through the whole process. I financially helped a family member for a legal problem. What should have cost between $5000-$10000 cost about $18000. They procrastinated returning my retainer fee - once received it was $167 short with no explanation. My family member did not receive very good legal representation on top of that! Look elsewhere for an attorney.

In my experience, needing the services of an attorney is a prominent indicator that I am at a peak level of stress in my life. And where family law is concerned, it means the stress is so much more personal, distressing, piercing and direct. That being said, in the same way that we have come to understand doctors as having bed side manner, attorneys really have something comparable... perhaps, we can call it, “desk side” manner. Chelsea and Kris have amazing “desk side” manner. No matter what we call it, the point is, when you are at an absolute low in your personal life and your stress is at an all time peak, having to take care of business with a stranger can feel awkward, stark, or even standoffish. This isn’t what one is looking for in a time like this. However, the team that is Kris and Chelsea is absolutely amazing. I have never had a group of professionals tune in to me and put me at ease as quickly as this team and especially Kris. Chelsea, as my attorney instills total confidence in me through her understanding of the law and how it effects me directly in my personal life.
Kris, as my paralegal (and constant representation of my legal team) is where I feel truly heard, compassionately responded to and always handled with a professional sense of urgency. He can tease out my concerns in a muddled text and provide assurance that I am understood and that my concerns are legitimate, and that I will be supported by my attorney. He hears me, addresses me and checks back in on me. And then he is always going above and beyond to make sure I am as calm as I can be, and that I truly understand the place where I stand through the entire legal process. Currently, my life isn’t easy. My life is being destroyed by someone I trusted and loved. And these professionals are capable of letting me know and actively showing me that I have a team of people on my side working to support , protect and encourage me. They have as much of an interest in my well being as I do. And Kris is the compassionate, understanding representative of this team. I couldn't ask for more from a team of professionals in such a difficult time in my life. Thank you guys for being who you are.

They got my family through a terrible event. Now I have primary custody of my son, and we can work through everything as a happy little family. The offie was so calming and peaceful, with the kindest staff.

Stay away from this law firm, they will charge you for giving directions to their law firm... horrible experience, I paid over 4600.00 for three court reports and one had to be amended. Stay clear of Modern Family Law.. would not recommend. The paralegal gave me directions, I went to your old office and was not informed that you moved to another location. I should not be charged for directions. It was not a good experience and would not recommend their service.

They only care about your money and not you. They tell you a bunch of stuff then go back on it. They nickle and dime you. Kyle will say he called you but no record or voicemails so just lies to make it seem like they care. Carrie Mohr will tell you one thing then go behind your back and say another thing. Carrie and Kyle both said I could do a payment plan, well I broke my hand and was out of work for 2months. Carrie said to keep her updated which I did and the next thing I know they pull the full amount without even a call and on a Friday right before closing. I couldn't buy food for myself and 3 little girls because they took all the money I had left from being out of work (savings) I called and told them this and they said they don't care and the account is now paid off. This law firm is a big joke. I wish I never went through them. Don't waste your time and find another firm. You'll be glad you did.

If I could put -5 stars I would! My attorney was Carrie Mohr she was great while she was getting paid but then the case closed she was no longer needed I was billed for my last payment I paid then I get a bill for $2800!!!!! A whole month after the case never even received my retainer and No one has got back to me about it then 2 months later I get another bill of $100 this place is a joke! I regret not letting the reviews impact my decision. Definitely do not recommend using modern family law unless you’re ok with lack of communication and horrible accounting that can’t even explain what you’re being charged for after no longer being a client

For my divorce, I was so glad I reached out to Modern Family Law and had Chelsea handle my case. I am pleased with the outcome and couldn't have done it on my own. It was worth having her represent me. I highly recommend them.

I love having Carrie Mohr as my attorney , she is an angel pie with a slice of pirate! Carrie helped me protect my Family. She helped me settle some long drawn out issues that other attorneys (that I was paying really good money for) wouldn’t touch with a 10 ft pole. Carrie has always kept my fees very minimal while going after the best possible outcome. She cares with all of her heart. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. Of course no one can guarantee a specific outcome in your favor. But if it’s due or in the best interest of your kids, Carrie will do everything she can to make it happen.

I've paid this firm per our agreement, yet they filed a withdraw saying I didn't. I even have the attorney email apologizing for thier error. I confirmed in writing they were still representing me, they confirmed. 4 days before hearing I find out they no longer are. I've paid nearly 30K and have NONE of my issues properly or efficiently represented. It's as if they represented opposing parties better than they represented me. I do not have any faith they're capable to represent high conflict or challenging cases. My attorney was noce and talked the talk, but wasn't experienced enough to really present my case. She said we would ask for attorney fees in once incident then didnt. I've got email after email reflecting inconsistencies and now am out all this money with zero results.

1. Been over 45 days still no refund on retainer. And was charge mail fee after case close for 60 days. $150. Had to call to remind them I'm still waiting on the retainer refund.
2. Paralegal took our already signed agreement notarized page and attachment to the non edit agreement file with court. We realized the mistake and let them know. They still charge us for the filing fee and time. Yes, we sent them the updated notarized copy. They charge us for saving it to our file.
3. Took 6 Months for a case that both parties agreed on custody terms. Lack communication.

I had the worst experience with this completely unprofessional and inadequate law firm. I hired Chelsea Hillman who was the youngest and most affordable, but in the end she cost me more than I could afford to lose. I hired her for an appeal, but she kept insisting that we shouldn't go forward with it. She obviously didn't have the talent and skill it takes to be a good attorney. Not to mention the fact that she doesnt come to a court date properly dressed! After wasting $8000 on this horrible lawyer she couldn't even act like a professional and show up in a suit like someone who cares about her job. Aesthetics aside I never once heard this woman argue or debate my case. I never went to law school, but I would think the first thing any attorney would do is ask the caseworker how many hours a parent would get when they are fighting to get more time with their child. Chelsea Hillman is the worst, most inexperienced and incompetent attorney I have ever had the displeasure to know. She cost way more than she is worth and I strongly advise anyone who is thinking about hiring her to go to another firm. I fired her after just one month and the firm that she works for is just as bad as the service she provides. I have had one other friend who has had a terrible experience here and my advice is to look elsewhere if you want a good attorney that will make progress in your case.
