Everyone there made me feel like I wasnt welcome. They were snobby attorney's that dont know a single thing about customer service. If I'm paying you for a service, I expect some hospitality and a welcoming attitude. I instead got treated like I was a peasant that knew nothing. I only went in to sign closing documents on a house I sold, God help anyone who does more than that. The lady at the front desk was really nice, she gave them an extra star.

I've been using CowanGates for more than a decade, beginning with a relationship with founder Frank Cowan. Even though Frank passed a few years ago, I have been thrilled with every attorney there. Neil Cowan has provided solid counsel and Melanie Friend has been a great advocate for me. I highly recommend them for any legal matter, especially if you're a small business owner.

My neighbor and I used Heath Gates to work on closing an easement on our property that was not needed. After a few weeks of work and a payment upfront. He wrote us a letter. Trying to contact Mr. Gates to move forward, I called several times to speak whit Mr. Gates he told me he would call me back. This call never happened. I called again and the receptionist told me he would call me back and gave me a time and day. This call did not happen as well. I tried several more times with the same results absolutely no reply. This took place over a 2 week period of time. I would not recommend this Law Firm. Your time does not matter to them. Empty promises is all you will get.

On July 1 this firm handled my mortgage closing. No one told me what I would need to receive my proceeds. So with the options given I said mail me a check. Ms. Natalie Akans, real estate paralegal dispersed the monies on July 7. When several business days went by I called and asked about my check. She mailed it July 7 but she said you know mail is slow. towards the end of the month I called again. She advised I could pay the stop payment fee and pay a wire fee to have my funds the next day. I asked, did you send it certified or registered? Her reply was no as the firm could not incur any costs. (Charged $475 to close). REALLY!! YOU SENT A CHECK FOR SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS WITHOUT CERTIFICATION!!! AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THE STUPIDITY AND IRRESPONSIBILITY OF MS. AKANS? Today is August 14. The check has never shown up. I would not recommend you for anything that deals with this firm.
