I worked with Leah Hernandez. Pros: She was friendly enough and her prices are very reasonable. Her PA was also very friendly and helpful. When I left the Charlottesville area she was willing to put in a transfer order on my behalf.
Cons: Unfortunately, Leah is highly disorganized and in my particular case, she put in little to no effort. Some of the "mishaps" I experienced were 1) procrastinating meeting until the hour before the court hearing, not specifying where to meet, not showing up to the expected meeting location at the court house (because the meeting time was so close to the hearing) and then she said "I thought you knew to come to our new office location," (apparently they had moved, something I was also not made aware of.) 2) constantly having to ask for official documents, as she never forwarded those without prompting, 3) spinning me representing myself as a positive and as a way to save money. When we first met she excitedly told me how I could put together my case in a binder and she could present it to the judge. I didn't know any better and was excited to do so. This did not work out very well whatsoever, as I am not a lawyer and did not know what best to prepare to make my case. Thus, Leah and I both appeared messy and disorganized on the day of court, with no clear asks for the judge to make any calls on.
I wanted to love her, and at the time I did. I admit that many of these cons are due in part to my naivete, but then again, don't people hire lawyers to guide them through the court process? A more organized lawyer would not have these issues. I've since worked with other lawyers and every time I have been shocked with how different my experience was.

Questionable billing practices. If you use this firm, review your bills closely as they have a history of over-billing.
I had the pleasure of working with Leah Hernandez who handled my recent divorce and child support issues. She is smart, very attentive, and forgets NOTHING. She provides options with possible outcomes and consequences in detail with you, so that you're never surprised. Their prices are VERY reasonable considering her expertise and I would recommend her to anyone going through any issue that she specializes in.
