My experience with Mr. Rakness was truly an eye opener. I didin't expect the level of service his office provides. Anytime I had a question, he got back to me immediately. He explained everything clearly to me and was obviously attentive to my needs. It would be so nice if all lawyers offered the level of professional services that Mr. Rakness does. I hope not to need him in the future but if I do he is #1 on my list. I would highly recommed him to anyone in need of highly skilled legal talent.

Hired him for a reckless driving charge in Rappahannock County (62 in a 35), he went to court and represented me on my behalf as I live in the Winchester area and wasn't sure I could get the day off from work. He got the charge dropped to Speeding. No jail time or license suspension (my first time ever being pulled over and had a perfect driving record previously which helped contribute to the final outcome). Just a speeding fine plus court costs. I'm very thankful to Mr. Rakness for representing me and for the Office of Andrew Flusche for recommending him. He was professional, diligent, answered all my questions and answered my emails as quickly as he could.

Mr Rakness was court appointed as my attorney. I did not ever speak to him until after I sent him my third and final email after I missed my court date. I had left the details of my case on a voicemail for him, letting him know that certain recordings needed to be subpoenaed. I guess that is beyond the scope of a court appointed attorney, as he never responded to my emails or my voicemails until after court. He (rudely)refused to acknowledge that a subpoena needed to be issued, and was nonplussed at my shock that his modus operandi was to have no contact from between his office and his client and just expected me to show up at court, without ever having consulted with my attorney. I ended up having to hang up the phone with him after he repeatedly told me to "stop talking" as he did not care at all what I had to say, the final straw was when he told me to shut up. At that point, the conversation has degraded beyond what I find worth my time. My advice, if you're dealing with him as your court appointed attorney, ask the court for a different one. I don't know how much his behavior and competence changes for people who pay him a retainer, but based on my limited experience with him he is a shoddy attorney and a very rude person.

Proved my innocence - extremely diligent and skilled attorney. If you are looking for an attorney who will fight for your freedom, look no further. I hired Mr. Rakness after I was charged with possession of marijuana. During the consultation, he was very helpful and professional - he offered a fair rate and gave me much-needed insight and peace of mind regarding my situation. Mr. Rakness was responsive and demonstrated his expertise in the area throughout the process of retaining him as my legal counsel. He thinks outside of the box in terms of defenses, and he will fight by your side rigorously when the time comes. I highly recommend Mr. Rakness if you are looking to either reduce your charges or be proven innocent, which was the result in my case. I'm pleased with his services to say the least.
