She does not communicate well and is very difficult to get a hold of. After four months of trying to get things going, I went elsewhere. She said she would get things done quickly and did just the opposite.

This woman is the worst lawyer imaginable. She was our court appointed lawyer for my husband’s case. Communication is very poor. I was given her cell phone number, which is given to every client due to the importance of communication as stated on her website. I called and texted her cell phone EVERY DAY for nearly two weeks and she never once picked up the phone or returned my call. I spoke with her ONCE over the phone for 10 minutes after waiting 2 weeks for my scheduled call because her schedule is just ”too full”. I also called her office every day in attempt to speak with her about our case. The secretaries make constant excuses for why it’s taking so long to do what has been requested of her.
Time was of the essence due to my husband sitting in jail. We requested a bond hearing to be setup on his behalf and more excuses were made as to why this was not done for weeks on end. I requested on several occasions that she go speak with my husband in jail and she never did. My husband attempted to contact her office several times and very rarely got through and when he did, it was more excuses from the secretaries as to why he couldn’t speak with Rhonda herself. He spoke with her for maybe 15 minutes total in all of our dealings with her and it was directly before each court date.
I am so thankful everyday that we came into some money and that we were able to hire our own representation! My husband had his day in court and was found NOT GUILTY by the new, very competent attorney we hired. I do not know what would have happened if we proceeded to trial with Rhonda and do not want to think about it honestly!
If you want a communicative, competent attorney, Rhonda Overstreet is not the lawyer for you. Avoid hiring this woman, or you will just be left in the dark and will be constantly led on!
