It seems that when I first left my review I never gave my reason why.
In October of last year, we had a court date set that Mr. Garcia failed to show for. We were left in a whirlwind of confusion, thankfully someone we knew was there to help us. I left a one-star review shortly after.
Then a few months later, Mr. Garcia had the audacity to send my family a letter stating that, because he is “a family friend,” he did us a favor by offering his services for free. He then said he hopes karma comes around and gets me for the negative review I’ve given him.
I can’t claim this is regular behavior for him. Hopefully not. But I will not apologize for being honest about my experience with this “family friend.”

Mr. Garcia is am amazing and caring attorney. Mr. Garcial represented a then future immigration client of mine in connection with a criminal domestic abuse charge. Mr. Garcia vehemently represented the client, and with careful consideration of the immigration consequences got the case dismissed. A year or so later the arrest showed up in connection with the client's efforts to renew immigration benefits. The client was then living in Virginia. I reached out to Mr. Garcia for help in obtaining certified court and certified police reports about the dismissed charge, something that can be very timely to obtain and especially difficult for an attorney from another jurisdiction. Mr. Garcia was wonderfully responsive, going above and beyond, providing well reasoned counsel and obtaining everything that was needed in advance of a pending deadline. I am happy to report that the client was able to obtain the renewal of his immigration benefits and such was only the case because of the care and efforts of Mr. Garcia.
