From day one I had nothing but a positive experience. My situation was unique and that it took nearly 2 years. During this time not once did Mr. Vandyke ask for any type of payment. It was only when I decided to finally move forward with my bankruptcy, that I was asked for payment. In my case, Mr. VanDyke met with me on about 6 Times in 18 months.

I recently experienced the misfortune of getting tangled up in a violent fight. I was apprehended and had to stay in the San Francisco County Jail. I am a female mother whom works full time and abides by the law. Unfortunately the investigator on duty was not able to determine my innocence in the matter at hand. I was detained for several hours before I was told I would be arrested and transported to the County Jail. This being my first experience with anything like this, I was needless to say, very scared and didn’t know if my initial cooperation in talking to the investigator is what had gotten me into the mess I was in. My instinct was not to keep my mouth shut and request an attorney, it was to help and explain what had happened. After several hours in the county holding cell I was able to finally contact my parents. I was scared and didn’t know what the process was and what to expect as the staff of the San Francisco County Jail Intake was not very informative and automatically treated you like a criminal. I spoke to my parents and they immediately contacted The Bird & Van Dyke office the next morning. My family has been a long customer of David Van Dyke for various family law matters.
