Based on previous reviews I contacted Bay Area Disability. I can't express how much it means to write this review. My SSDI application was submitted in July 2019 and was approved in December 2019. Best investment I've ever made. I contacted "Tate" with about 30 days left before my trial. (I recommend contacting him earlier, and he would too.) Despite it being the holidays, he took my case and worked diligently to get all of the needed paperwork in place. He was extremely professional and knew the ins and outs of disability law. He only contacted me when he really had specific questions for me to answer for him so he could 'fill in the blanks' correctly. I cannot say enough about my experience with Tate as my attorney during this process. And a process it was. My initial claim with Disability was 3 years ago. After being turned down two times on my own I made the choice to find an awesome Disability Attorney to represent me, and I did. I knew I had a good solid case. And so did Tate. He was there every step of the way. He pulled all the necessary docs from doctors, surgeons and pain management in a timely manner and had everything submitted and ready for our court date. That day in front of the judge Tate had it all under total control. He walked me through what to expect, kept me calm and most importantly I felt I could not have been better represented. And I was right. He changed my life. I am forever grateful, Thank you Tate.

I had a very challenging day to start with but then I discovered that the SSDI office had made a mistake with some paper work of mine which set a review process (more paper work) in motion, which seemed to me could lead to me loosing benefits if the deadline listed was not met. However, being an actual disabled person who is mostly housebound, getting a physical deadline without the proper notice is not something I can handle without help.
I was panicked.
SO - I cold called the closest lawyer to me on google. Not only did this attorney take my call, but he was VERY patient, really listened, AND was incredibly kind. He then told me he happened to already be going to the SSDI office just as I was calling him (I assume for other clients), and he offered to check for my case for me while he was there! I was floored, and I still am.
He then spent at least a total of an hour of his day helping me out basically immediately on the spot. He had NO other reason to do this for me in any way other than to be helpful, kind, and good at his job.

I may have had a really craptastic day - but it seems at the end of it I may have found a good lawyer. Hopefully I won't need any further legal help communicating with SS office, but if I have any legal needs with my SSDI, OR if anyone were to ask for a good SSDI lawyer's name - I now have one I'd gladly recommend and I am thankful.
