Things took a bad turn when the lawyer who signed on to represent me ended up out the office due to medical reasons in which I wasn't informed. And the contract that I had with them went unfulfilled and they keep harassing me about payments when nothing was done in accordance to my contract. When I asked to restructure my contract, they said no and said I needed to pay them. I had a court date in October and didnt receive a call from this law firm until after I called them the day before asking them why I didnt get a phone call. They said to me that they were going to call me but it was already 3pm and the office closed at 5p. The customer service has been subpar since they let go one of the best paralegals they had working there. It saddened me that they blamed her for all the short comings of the firm. This is a real review and they will do anything to cover this up.

I wanted to give a big thank you to Kevin that got my case dismissed today. I was involved in a 6 car accident and the State Trooper was passing out following too closely to almost all involved. It was an accident in the HRBT tunnel. Guy slammed his breaks out of no where and I didn’t have time to react or swerve around because of the tunnel. I was also hit from behind. The guy in front was ok but jumped on a stretcher quick when they got there. I wasn’t about to plead guilty so this hustler could later get me in a civil suit. Protect your records and never just accept the ticket. Hire these professionals.

Kurt Easton was by far the best attorney I can ask for. I made some dumb mistakes and got intoxicated and fought 5 police officers. I got sentenced to a year in Norfolk city jail. All I had was my quarterdecks phone number. Mr Easton visited me after talking to my parents. I got a reconsideration date for a week after that. Not only did my parents come to my court date, but my whole chain of command! He also got letters from many people around the ship. After 75 days of being in jail, Mr Easton came and got me out instead of a year sentence. He has helped me keep my job in the Navy, and has gotten everything dropped!! He has done so much and I feel like I owe him alot. I appreciate everything and want to thank you for helping out. I am so grateful for their help, they kept in contact with me for scheduled consultations along with asking for things that could help get my case resolved along with things I could do on my own time to help. This was by far the worst experience with a lawyer. I had a scheduled phone appointment for a one hour consultation because this firm had claimed they have expertise in the matter I needed help with. I was called over one hour late without any apology or reason. My time means nothing to them. The lawyer had no desire to hear details of my case and had no particular expertise in the area - although that is what was claimed when they agreed to give the consultation. After a whole 4 minutes (!) he said he had to go because he had another client. I was basically wasting his time.

MILITARY BEWARE! Incompetent and untrustworthy. Short version: They told me on the phone they would help me, I waited forever (their advice) and had to reach out to them multiple times when they were't available during scheduled phone calls, and they decided to cut me off with no warning or explanation. Plus, Kurt kept calling the law by the wrong name and I had to keep correcting him, he had no idea what it was and wanted me to pay him to read up on it. A law the affects the divorce of EVERY ACTIVE DUTY MILITARY MEMBER and their retirement benefits, and he called it "esoteric". So he was either trying to scam me, or was very out-of-the-loop.

I feel that incompetence is worse than being untrustworthy when it comes to lawyers, but Liberty Law Group seems to be both.

I was referred to them by the VA Lawyer referral service. If this happens to you, ask for someone else. Kurt had no idea what the Frozen Benefit Rule was, which affects every active military member who is seeking a divorce. He kept calling it Frozen Assets, and I had to keep correcting him. He put me on the phone with his partner who knew exactly what it was. She said she could not practice alone due to medical issues, but was working with Kurt and would take care of my case. She said it was like "getting two lawyers for the price of one", and she had worked many divorces with the same issue. She said to tell me wife I needed 30 days to review my documents, told me to send their secretary all my paperwork and that they would get back to me. I told her I was leaving the country for a PCS in a week, but we could work through email. She seemed really nice, and I regret that she wasn't able to take me on directly, but I trusted that the two of them would take care of me. I sent their email all my documents and waited patiently.

A week after no response I call them and their secretary hadn't forwarded the documents for some reason. When Kurt finally emailed me a handful of days later, he still had no idea what I was talking about, and said I would have to pay him to research the "esoteric" law, on top of the fees for reviewing the documents and advising me. He asked how I wanted to proceed, and I told him I only needed advice on that law and if my divorce decree was compliant, and that his partner had told me she was already very familiar with the law. They responded with a "non-engagement" letter that basically said I was out of luck and needed to look somewhere else for legal assistance. I don't know why they cut me off, but now I'm on the opposite side of the planet trying to find another lawyer, making phone calls and dealing with the time difference.

I was willing to pay and was only seeking legal advice. If they didn't want to help, they should have said so. Instead they tell me they have my back, ask me to stall 30 days, then tell me to pound sand and I'm on my own.

I really hope Ms. Tillman reads this and reaches out to me. I really think the issue was her partner, but the inconsistencies in their actions have me very confused.

Lastly, I uploaded photos of the conversation. I realize lawyers must deal with aggressive or unreasonable people regularly, but that's not me.

For years situations hinder me from succeeding..However Liberty Law Group dedication, consistency, and hard-working relieved me from all the difficult times I’ve faced.. I am pleased with the service I received from the Liberty Law Firm. My Attorney Ms. Jennifer Ferrara was the best. I was facing a very serious charge for which I could have been charged with a Felony and face jail time. The offense had to do with a traffic accident, my innocence had to be proven and it was a difficult task. I was so distraught throughout this whole ordeal, never having had a serious traffic offense in my past and I had an A+ driving record. I could not believe that I would be charged with a felony. Attorney Ferrara was not only professional but she was a comfort to me (a very frightened client). To make a long story short I was not charged with the felony or have to spend time in jail. To have a felony on my record or to spend time in jail would have ruined my career as well as caused a hardship to my life. I consider myself a law abiding citizen with having worked with trouble youth in the past to keep them out of trouble and instilling in them the difference between right and wrong.
