It was 2013. My wife and I were deeply in debt, owing to multiple credit cards, an automobile loan, and a home equity loan. The crash of the housing bubble had done us in. We tried to stay afloat and that's what the multiple credit cards were all about. We just couldn't keep up. If we managed to somehow escape, nothing would ever be the same. So we started to look around. One lender suggested filing for Chapter 13. The upside was good, but it would take time. Shortly thereafter, we found Brette Evans. Brette was like a breath of fresh air. She gave us really good advice, took our case and saved us from over $100 grand (conservative estimate).
