Mark sokol and his team are second-to-none in Raleigh North Carolina. They are not divorce attorneys would rather family law attorneys meaning they help families reconcile. There is a huge distinction as I have experienced both and at the end of the day I would recommend wake family law and more importantly Marc Sokol anyone else he would recommend. (I pray I spelled his name correctly but if you go to their website you'll be able to see as he is one of the first attorneys on the website and it's been practicing since the mid-to-late 70s, I believe. Class act all the way around!)

Helen is nothing short of fantastic. I have referred many clients to her and used her for mediations. She is a true professional, very relatable, does a really great job. She is great at what she does. And is a great person too. I can’t say enough positive things about her.

Katie King is nothing short of incredible. If it weren't for her and her amazing paralegal, Erin, I'm not sure I could have gotten through an emotional and very intense divorce. Even though I was new to the process and procedures, there was such warmth and compassion that it made the long journey manageable.

I will always recommend Katie and the firm to anyone I know. I will tell you that the process wasn't exactly what I wanted to hear as it was lengthy. Katie followed every rule and procedure to the T. She was honest with every dollar, including the simple copying charge that the court house has, so bring an extra copy!

There was a situation in our case where Katie could have continued with what we had. However, she was so precise that she wanted to give the other side a fair chance. Katie is so good at what she does that she doesn't need to cut corners. It just isn't Katie's way.

There were many moments that my emotions were so heightened that I just wanted the outcome to go in my favor and be done with. Katie was so calm and rational throughout the whole process that I am so grateful for her.

Hire this law firm if you want to spend thousands of dollars + a few hundred dollar consult fee only to be belittled when you don't want to keep spending money without proven work being done. I think Marc Sokol put it best to me: lawyers don't return retainers. The best part is they take a huge retainer, then they expect you to refill it as they spend money each month - so basically plan on double to triple the cost quoted, but they aren't required to perform... OH! and if you do not agree with the costs they will fire you, keep the money, and are not polite when they do (comes with belittling and all as an added bonus!)! 5 stars because they got my money - they are achieving the only goal set out for themselves: money. Thank god I figured out their MO before I went all in.

Jennifer Moreno was extremely professional and treated my case as if it were her own. She gave sound advice and even provided "homework" which substantially improved my case and ultimately getting granted custody of my children. Its hard as is being a dad fighting for custody. Very disappointing experience. I gave the paralegal my case info so when we set down for our $300 1 hour consult we would have the information we needed to proceed or not. When we met with the attorney; no research was done, most unprofessional attire for an attorney I’ve ever seen (would never have allowed her to represent me in court), the paralegal never called me back. I called them repeatedly and several weeks after bugging them they called back to tell me there was nothing we could do. Uncaring, money grabbing firm that i would never allow to represent me.
