I am sorry to have posted a misleading review earlier. I recently started getting calls from an attorney in Knoxville saying that Andrew Farmer had "given " them my case. After several attempts to find out what was going on ; a lady in his office finally told me that it was true. She said that he was too busy with the legislature to deal with my case.
The only translation I can make of that is that as long as Diana and I were doing the work, he would be happy to take a part of the settlement but when it came time for actual lawyer work; he didn't have time for my case .
You would think think he would have had the courtesy to send a letter telling me that I had been kicked to the curb but he didn't have time for that either I guess

Mr. Farmer was very professional and bought a positive resolution to my case . I would highly recommend his services to anyone !!!

If we could rate 0 stars we would. We wouldn't recommend him to anyone who wants a good attorney that will be there for you. He will make alot of promises and tell you that something will happen but when court comes around he will be the ONLY attorney not getting deals for his clients and having to reset court dates. Just go sit in the court room one day and watch before you hire him. Even when the judge gives attorney's chances to talk to the DA and come up with deals they leave the courtroom or stay in their phone. Now to your response to julia.... That is completely lies in your comments back to Julia's review. Where is the proof that I denied to stop or never pay? You only asked once about payments and then a few hours later before we could ever respond, we received an email with being drooped as clients. And since we want to talk about the refund. The reason, as stated to the board of ethics, that we should be refunded and able to hire an attorney which will really fight for us. We believe we should be refunded Because for one you too didn't fight for us as you say you did. The next day after we hired you, we where served with an eviction from the place we lived and you also represented our landlord in the eviction for the new charges. You where supposed to be our attorney for the new charges and now you became the attorney for our landlord in the eviction due to the new charges. How in any way was that fair to us or how do you think that made us feel? You where supposed to be someone on our side and that we could rely on. But since the day after we hired you two and you became our landlords attorney too, you where against us not with us. Numerous times you were trying to force Julia to sign an agreement for paying attorney and court costs and be out in ten days. Again, how do you think that made us feel? Yes, I say the day you decided to represent Gary in the eviction for the new charges, you should have refunded our money and explained that he's been a long term client and that you could not represent us anymore. Instead, you choose to string us along and keep resetting court dates( even after plainly asked not too until you speak to me but did anyways) until you knew that we would eventually get fed up with yours and Travis's lies. You never once kept your word on anything you told us. You promised, as well as Travis the day of hiring( but supposedly didn't know the judge no longer gives bonds on VOP) that I would be out on numerous occasions but every time court came around there was some excuse of why the deals you said you and the DA agreed too no longer was going to be able to happen.
What kills me the most is that you and travis truely believe you did no wrong and consistently want tell lies and try to make us look bad. We are not out to get you, we are merely using our freedom of speech and telling the truth about what happened. Even on the eviction you pulled Julia aside and told her before y'all went in front of the judge for a hearing(that by the way you said that you wouldn't do cause you where our attorney too) and told her she should take the agreement cause the judge will side with Gary but that didn't happen did it? No she won because she hasn't been found guilty yet. How was that being there as an attorney for someone and doing what's best for your client? You was not worried about us but about Gary because he is a long term client. And that is fair too you? Andrew, you can say all the lies you want but we have proof and we know and want others to know so they don't get screwed out of their hard earned money too, by hiring you as an attorney and getting nothing from you in return.Also, since Julia has no room left to write on her review.She wanted to fix her comment about your reviews.Yes you may have more 5 stars but most of them are people you have worked along side or with, not represented!!If you have been such an amazing attorney and done so much good for people in alot of years. Then why aren't there that many more good reviews?

Andrew Farmer is incompetent and lies way too much. Him and his associate had no problem taking our money and doing nothing on our behalf but keep resetting court dates. They lie and use us as an excuse of why they can't keep the deals and promises that they have told us numerous times. They say it is our fault for not telling them my husband's prior charges, so now they are dropping us as clients all because myself and my husband are angry cause they lied to us and another DA that he would be getting out in another county. But of course didn't happen cause Andrew said we never told him Stephen had other charges. Even if that was the case, which isn't true, then he should have done his job as an attorney and reschearched him and found out all that he has been charged with. He kept saying in court the DA wouldn't give him a better deal cause of his prior drug charges, well he has no prior drug charges. So, that shows right there that Andrew doesn't know what he is doing and/or he just doesn't care about his clients. To me it seems like they lie and say whatever they think you want to hear to get your money from you and that is wrong.
All these people saying Andrew is a great attorney and knows what he is doing apparently was never represented by him. When we had court, his clients where the only ones needing there court dates reset and couldn't agree on a deal. Cause when the judge said it was time to take a break and let the attorneys talk to the DA and see what deal's they have, they would leave the room and not even talk to the district attorney. They can call me a liar or whatever they want to say but I have emails proving they have lied numerous times, also I have an eye witness, that is a cop, that heard Andrew lie to the DA about my husband supposed to be getting out somewhere else and resetting his court date once again. And on that last court date that he reset, I sent him an email on my husband's behalf asking him not to reset this court date until he goes and talks to him in jail. And he didn't do that, he reset without even one time talking with his client. He didn't talk to him until I threatened to report him to the professional board of responsibility and ethics.
So if you want to be cared about and represented right and not just took for your money and screwed by the one person you thought was supposed to be there for you. Then I would NOT hire Andrew Farmer or Travis as an attorney because they are incompetent and don't know what they are doing and don't care about you at all.
P.s. this is my only review because I have never been so wronged by someone that I had to tell people so they won't be screwed as my husband and I where. I am a real person my name is Julia harksen and if you have any questions I can prove everything I have said about Andrew Farmer and his law firm. I would never recommend them to anyone. All these so called good reviews are not clients but people who worked with or beside him so how can you go by what they're saying. And why would you even think someone would go out of their way to make an account to bash your good name as you say? Doesn't make sense to me! And if you have done so much good for hundred or thousands of people, why only 26 reviews and only half are five stars?!?! Just food for thought!
I have stated numerous times that if you think I'm lying I can send proof. He says look me up please do you will see this charge is my first ever charge and I am 30 years old. I have no reason to lie and I was never malicious or threatening in any way. I have ever email between us. Also, I never kept coming by the office that's a lie in it's self. Iay have stopped by a handful of times, not even that, while you represented us. And the reason you dropped us is because I kept telling you it was wrong for you to represent us in charges and our landlord in an eviction for these charges. How do you believe that made us feel? You where never on our side or did anything for us but reset a court date. I never said I wasn't paying and you consistently like and can't admit any wrong doing.

Andrew Farmer is a joke and takes advantage of people in their darkest moments and does not keep promises or follow through as he promises. Once he has your money he doesn’t need your business and does nothing to help his clients until he has depleted all the money they have and then drops them as a client. He will also try and harass them if they post anything negative about him on this page. He is a lawyer did he forgot our rights to freedom of speech? I have only spoken the truth and I hope people will listen and take notice.

Andrew is a great attorney, he did exceptionally well in court. However, if you are one to worry and have many questions be prepared that it is not easy to get a hold of him and even though e-mail is stated to be the best way of communicating with him, many times you will not get an answer. All in all he takes good care of you and knows the local system very well.

My miss fortune started when stopped on our way home by a THP Sobriety Checkpoint in Sevierville. I answered the Trooper truthfully that my wife and I did have a mixed drink with our meal. I performed the tests but obviously not to his satisfaction I was then stunned to hear that I was being placed under arrest!. I sensed an unfavorable prejudice by the trooper towards me, in my opinion the whole crew of TROOPERS were overzealous that night from their actions we witnessed and my wife and I would testify to that! After being handcuffed I was placed in the cruiser, my wife was released. Without hesitation I agreed to a blood test then breathalyzer. Blood was drawn and then the breathalyzer registered negative, all ZERO'S! I thought that would be the end of this misjustice, but NO! I then spent over 10 hours in jail and then to add insult to injury the indignity (without proof of guilt) of being MUG Shot with my picture published by a local rag! Then finally a Magistrate would see me. Others from the same checkpoint came in after me but left hours before me without posting bail. I was charged the maximum ($1,000) plus the jailer told me the Trooper had it in for me? NOW THE GOOD FORTUNE, I knew I needed a lawyer but not just any lawyer, honestly I don't hold a very high regard for lawyers so this person had to meet the test. I interviewed several, all very pricey and thought more of themselves then I did. But then I met Andrew, I felt he had the right stuff, reminded me (with all due respects) of the movie character Van Wilder from the National Lampoon Franchise. In deep thought I analyzed our interaction, watched and listened to Andrew speak to others and I retained him on the spot. My day in court was short, Andrew spoke to the ADA. Toxicology was negative! Breathalyzer was negative! The Trooper was present for testimony before the judge, but the ADA decided against pursuing the case, lost cause against the likes of Andrew Farmer. Case dismissed, In short Andrew is extremely charming / smart / but most of all he has an honest natural way about him without any pomposity! In closing, I HIGHLY recommend Andrew Farmer he stopped anymore injustice I might have experienced that day in court.
