I needed an estate attorney for my 90+ year old parents to update Wills, prepare a Living Trust, and prepare Powers of Attorney, Healthcare POA's, Living Wills and Deed changes for the Trust. Stephen Carpenter and the staff at Carpenter & Lewis PLLC was the best decision I could have made as an out of area client. We reside in Florida but purchased two properties in Knoxville over ten year period for the use and eventual ownership of our son-in-law and grandchildren. Carpenter & Lewis helped me set up my LLC a few years ago and very recently helped me with a contract. Their legal advice saved me a lot of money because what I had planned to do would have cost a lot in multiple state taxes. Two of their attorneys helped be re-structure the deal to reduce my exposure to lawsuits and simultaneously reduce the tax burden for the business. I even enjoyed talking with them. They understood my business and how important this transaction was to me. It was not cheap but was worth the money to have good attorneys. I plan to have them help me re-do my Will now.
