I feel that the people that own and work there should go home, look in the mirror and think of what the do for a living, and consider finding a new career. Causing STRESS for people with health problems is not what I would want to do for a living.

Call paramount law. They have intrest in protecting you from these people. Literally never recieved a bill. They did not attempt to contact me about this very small doctors bill that I would pay in a instant. Dropped my credit from 795 to a 759. I will be pursuing legal action against this team. If anyone from the works and Lentz reads this contact me. Today is June 3 and I monitor my credit very closely to make sure companies like this dont screw people over. A 795 shows that I pay my pills. What a joke of a company and awesome customer service skills. Will be doing my best to make google reviews drop to a one star.
Update-ended up paying the debt immediately following this. They had the wrong address and was sending it out to Inola oklahoma. Failed to look me up online to get my address(every other doc bill was correct). They fail take responsibility for their screw up. I did get the remark removed from my credit on the very next cycle. Very unprofessional(even heard people laughing at my concern)

They are always super nice and willing to work with you on payment plans. They have never treated me like I was horrible because I couldn't afford the full amount at any given time. Much more courteous than other collection agencies I have dealt with. Super nice and understanding staff as long as you communicate with them.

I called set up a payment arrangement and they still sued me. So they could get the extra $444.00 dollars from me. This business practice is terrible. If I would have know you were going to go ahead and sue me I would have been to court and told the judge I already made a payment and set up arrangements. This can’t be fair or legal. How can a company sue you after you call them set up payments and make arrangements to pay monthly and they sue you any way.

There are a few issues at play here 1. The “non profit” hospitals are just sending out accounts to collections without any oversight in attempt to collect as much as possible from patients.
2. Certain sectors of the hospitals aren’t sending out itemized statements and refuse to do so. They also refuse to state what the cost will be upfront. So they bill an outrageous sum and refuse to explain what costs make up the charge. It’s highly unethical and they know they will either force you to pay or they will ruin your credit. In our case the “non profit” hospital refuses to state what this lump sum bill is exactly and thus Work/Lentz can not provide verification of the debt.
3. Works Lentz, in line IV, state they will send a contract showing the authorization for the medical bill. This too, was never provided despite requests for this item. Therefore they can not verify the debt and legally cannot proceed attempting to collect the debt, make credit reports, or litigate. They however continue to do so without sending verification.
4. Be sure to contact your district leader and the Oklahoma Governor stating you think Oklahomans need more consumer protection from hospitals including mandatory itemized statements within 30 days upon request, upfront billing, and take away the ability to collect until they comply with written requests for basic account information.
5. Request more protection from debt collectors making it cost more to litigate and increase the burden of debt verification. Our state is way behind.
6. Request St John’s, Francis etc be removed from tax incentives for unethical , illegal, and extreme billing practices.
7. At first, Works/Lentz agreed that there wasn’t verification to collect and sent a letter stating they ceased efforts. Then, 3 months later, without any more evidence decided to continue collections. Therefore, I have made my 1 star rating for unethical practices.
8. Be sure to send certified verification letters requesting and keep a file. A. Contracts for authorized charges signed B. Itemized statements C. The dates and details for each charge D. The original creditors name and address

The most AWFUL experience humanly possible. They say they want to help you with your medical debt? They do no such thing. They could care less if you're going through a hard time and have no problem tacking on ADDITIONAL fees on top of the medical bills you already owe. I've worked with TAB services and they are by far better than Works and Lentz will ever be with how they go about their collections process. Heres a thought, if someone is struggling financially to pay their medical bills what exactly makes you think tacking on an extra $300 to what you owe, helps in any way possible? My thought, works and lentz is out for blood with their collections and I'm really not sure how any of their collectors nor the people who run the company can actually sleep at night. I would say if you're in the Tulsa area and need to seek medical help but are struggling financially DO NOT GO TO ST FRANCIS OR WARREN CLINIC so you dont have to deal with this stupid company. Thank you Works and Lentz for making my already difficult financial situation even worse and having zero compassion to understand what any individual is going through. Hope you sleep well with your stupid commission checks you make off of struggling people. Shame on you and shame on the company you work for.

This firm not only does collections for numerous business, they also have other departments that actually help people. For example they do medical liens for motor vehicle accidents or personal injury cases, the liens are towards the settlements and more or less place the bills that accumulate from the accidents and place them in a holding pattern which is not reported to the credit bureaus, for that they saved my credit after I was involved in a bad crash

I will be more than happy to get a lawyer to aid in my recovery. Needing this debt off of my credit report; it apparently has been there for a while. Would appreciate some sort of assistance in this matter, immediately.

CROOKS AND DISHONEST BUSINESS!
I set up payments with a nice lady almost two years ago to take care of some medical bills that got way out of hand. My debit card was cancelled and I got a new one, I honestly didn't set this payments on this card. I actually thought it was billed to my checking. Anyway, only one month and one payment was missed before they have garnished my pay at work and defaulted on our agreement. I called to talk to account mgr Eli who did nothing but talk down to me and was a smart a**, treating me like a low life. I was trying to fix a problem and be honest. He informed that it was their real responsibility to contact me when I ask about them calling me, told me they didn't have time to "babysit." They are crooks just wanted a reason to garnish so they could file for more court fees, the money paid them plus more, and higher monthly payments than they were getting.

I was reading these reviews and all I could think is "pity party". These people have 1 job. They are bill collectors. NOBODY likes bills going to a collections agency, but when they do.. suck it up and start paying on them. I had almost 5 grand of medical bills get written off to them. I applied for financial assistance through the hospital and got everything but about 900 paid for. (VERY GRATEFUL) Every single person I spoke too from Works & Lentz was extremely informative AND NICE!!! They're the ones who told me to try and get financial assistance and directed me to the right person(s) to help me! I never would have known. Don't be rude and blame these people for your write off. They didn't do it. I now have a $50/month payment plan I'll be making and then THEY GET DELETED OFF MY CREDIT REPORT. That alone is a BIG DEAL, because a lot of places don't delete it, they just report it paid. I'm very happy with this company and making my payments to them.

I would give 2 stars since I have talked to one lady here that was actually nice and understanding. Today I received a call from a lady here concerning a medical bill ($800 for some peroxide, a dab of glue, 15 minutes of apparently the most expensive room in the state, and a band-aid). She claimed I promised to pay (which I would never do for a debt collector) so I informed her that I did not make a promise to pay and explained that I could not make any payments currently due to some situations I am in. She acted as if I personally insulted her and said "what do you not work?" and I do work. I work a full time job, looking for a second job, but I also raise a family and have other bills that are more important than the US healthscam system. I tried to explain to her a bit of my personal life although it is none of her business at all and she said "yeah well life happens you got a service so you need to pay" I will not be answering the phone for this company any longer because I refuse to be treated like trash because I can not afford to pay $800 or even $50 a month with my current situation. Its not my fault she chose to be a debt collector. The people here should learn that you catch more flies with honey than you will with being a hateful, rude, inconsiderate person to said fly.

I have had nothing but good experiences with the people here. I have been paying 50 dollars a month for a couple years. For some very large medical bills. Even when I was unable to pay them they noted it in there system of when I would be able to pick it back up. They have always been very nice everytime I call or if I forget a payment the account manager calls and says hey I think you may have forgotten you payment again. I have never had a rude experience with anyone there.

I get it. It isn't the most exciting or fun job in the world. I bet a lot of those people who answer the phones and tell you about the balance on your account, wish they could be anywhere else. However, they are very very cold towards me on the phone. I am not someone who just didn't want to pay or is lazy or is just trying to find a way out of paying what I owe. Do not treat me like I am. You don't know me, my personal life, how many hours a week I am working, or how many credit hours I am taking at school to try to make my life better. Treat me and respect me like a fellow human, please. I am no worse than you. I would have not done this publicly, but I didn't see an email address on the website.

Was told that would be fine make one payment and 2 days before we were going to make second payment find out we are being hit with a garnishment so we call them and the lady was very hateful and said that we missed last month so they are serving a garnishment and when that one is done they are going to serve us another one immediately that they won't work with us anymore since we missed one payment!

Asked what's the lowest payment she said 150 I told her I can't afford it I have 2 school age kids. She said that I can pay $100 for 3 months then they'll have to reevaluate my situation. Wow. These pal have no clue what it's like to live paycheck to paycheck and barely able to put food on the table for my kids. Just money grubbing vultures.

Here's the thing if you can't pay you need to tell them ahead of time not later.
I've had to be late a couple times and there were a couple months I needed to pay less. There was never any issue doing this, I just had to let them know ahead of time.
I was sent here after being hospitalized at St John. Afterward I ended up with about 16 bills. St John would not combine them and were requiring me to pay on all 16 at one time, which I couldn't do, and so I ended up getting sent to Works and Lentz. I told St John i wanted to pay but I couldn't do all at once. When it got to Works and Lentz they combined all bills into one account and allowed me to make one payment a month and slowly pay them all off. I'm only a few months from paying off every bill I had just because they were willing to work with me.
Be polite and work with them and they'll work with you.

We were paying a small monthly payment to St. John on a regular basis due to the loss of my spouse's income when she lost her job, but because we weren't paying the balance in full, St. John turned our account over to Works & Lentz. I thought this was unacceptable since we were making small, regular payments. We were doing the best we could.
