Marilyn is amazing! Our family is extremely grateful our paths crossed. After three years of trying to sell my house, I finally accepted that its value had fallen far below what I still owed. I approached my county bar association for advice in negotiating a short sale with my lender, and was referred to Marilyn Sullivan. After reading online a number of glowing reviews, I was not surprised to find how very professional and responsive Marilyn was, from the start. I was not surprised by how smoothly the process of finding a buyer for my house and relieving the burden of my debt had unfolded. What surprised me was that, while gathering information for my case, Marilyn intuitively identified signs of foul play. I knew that there was SOME explanation for the many years of financial hell I had been living through. But it took a person with incredible diligence and perseverance to guide me out of that hell. Marilyn untangled a very twisted case of mortgage fraud that was settled out of court. I still feel very grateful for all of her work.

Marilyn Sullivan came to my rescue in a very difficult situation. I was on the back side of an economic disaster precipitated by a challenging divorce. I had purchased the house in part to manage the capital gain taxes from liquidating. I had to move fast to make a 1031 exchange on an office building so I did not shop for the best loan. My payment went from less than $2,500 per month to over $5,000 per month when the interest rate floated. I had limited resources and would have lost the house and not have been able to replace it with something of half the value. This was in the early days of loan modifications and Marilyn Sullivan was way ahead of the curve. A lot of the process was counterintuitive and Marilyn Sullivan was on top of every detail. She was able to negotiate a loan modification that was beyond our wildest hopes. I have rebuilt my credit and am living life well. I am grateful to Marilyn Sullivan every time I make my mortgage payment and every time I see my house has appreciated a lot more than the payment.
