Contacted my wife before the hurricane for women’s health center for medical bill when they should have kept sending it to the insurance, any who after the hurricane never got a call from the law firm or anything and now have a small claims from them. Don’t go to women’s health care associates !

I received a threatening letter from this lawyer today over a supposed $88 medical bill. The letter states that I owe "considerable sums," and threatens to pursue me to the "fullest extent of the law." How ridiculous. This medical bill should have been paid in its entirety by Medicare because it was part of my yearly women's wellness exam and screening for ovarian cancer. The doctor found a mass and ordered an ultrasound. I was never given an itemized bill for any additional costs by the office. So, I called the lawyer, and he answered, "Hello?" No kind of professional introduction, such as, "Hello, Erwin Law Firm." I had to ask him if I had the correct number! I explained that I had received ther letter and he said, "How can I help you?" I told him to never send me a threatening letter like this again and to tell his client to send the correct medical billing code to Medicare. He said, "Have a good one," and hung up on me. Idiot.
