Just met Katie today and just wanted to say how pleased I was with the warm and thoughtful time she shared with myself and my Dad. Katie, thank you so much for the referral.

Jerry Miller and Katie Walker have represented, guided and consulted with me since 1998. Their firm has helped me both in my business and personal affairs. I highly recommend Miller Walker & Austin.
I love using the services of this firm for my real estate transactions. It is a traditional firm with excellent customer service. Marcia Nixon, my closing paralegal is warm, friendly, professional and super experienced. Higly recommend them...and the price is reasonable!

This review is being written by John Carroll. My mothers will was prepared by Jerry Miller of this firm. When my mother passed away in January 2017 it was natural to use them to probate the will. I met with Jerry in mid January and he assigned the task to Kimberly Dixon, an attorney in the firm. This was a simple estate. One brokerage/checking account, one IRA, two annuities and one house. My brother and I were the sole heirs and everything was to be split 50/50.
Long story short, the estate did not settle until 9-19-17. The 90 day creditor period expired 5-1-17 and I was told the estate could close in 2 weeks after that date. I finally forced a meeting on 7-18-17 and was told the holdup was attorneys were out on leave and her workload was too heavy. They also said they were having trouble reconciling the estate account. I wrote 5 checks as Executor. This cost the estate as it allowed a creditor to file a late claim 60 days after the deadline. There was no communication over the last 120 days and problems kept coming up which they should have anticipated. Then to make things worse, they charged me $700.00 at the last minute and I had no choice but to pay or the estate would not close and house could not be sold.
Just be careful.

I contacted Terry Miller for a consultation at a point when I was confused about the legal processes. During the consultation I found him to interruptive while explained my confusion, abrupt and quiet rude. After telling me he wouldn't help me, hung up the phone abruptly. I would not suggest using there law firm....ever!
