Because my mother used Mr. McManus in the past for her legal needs, I thought it only natural that I would use him to handle her estate/probate. Because it's important to get probate started as quickly as possible, I called Mr. McManus a few weeks after her death. There was no response to my first phone call. I called again after a week, giving detail in my message, notably that my mother had used his services previously, still no response. Because Mr. McManus is somewhat unique to the area, local for me, and was familiar, I thought using him would be helpful.
