Tries to bribe you at closing. Flamboyant with jokes while flicking pen and straightening papers. As well as closing gift to get good reviews. I thought the ADD of making sure every paper was lined up would translate into excellent paperwork. I don't care how exciting it is as long as it's done right. At least I did close on time and was able to move in.
However, after the closing which I paid $1,600 and seller paid $250 there was a problem with the title. Not a very complicated one. Two people bought a house, one person died, that person's share went into a trust. The other person held onto their half. Sounds fairly common. However, after being blown off the first two times I asked about it they told me they would look into it and got quite upset when I came in there a third time after telling my lender without fixing the problem or giving me updates.
So far, it's been about about a month and have not had any updates other than a common we're working on it when I told my lender. I'm assuming all you would need was the seller to sign a title transfer over but have not heard anything or explained process. I don't know, that's why I paid all that money so you could do it right.
I understand this is a lower priority concern for them and they may be putting it off. Plus they already made their money what's their incentive now. I don't want it to be forgotten about. I go by the philosophy if you do something right away it will be done with.
