He was always very “upfront “ with me from our first welcome meeting when he dropped a bomb about a NC statute I was unaware of but could apply to my situation under certain circumstances. He accommodated me in my preference for phone conversations rather than just email answers to questions as I reviewed each document PDF he sent me. With phone appointments he always let me know how much time we had and then followed up with a visual PDF of the resulting changes. With each document, he always provided a written summary in layman’s terms of the importance of that document and what it would do for me and my family. Even as he walked me through the process of signing the documents, his summaries proved helpful; and he left me with instructions for several next steps. I cannot thank and complement the Starrett Law Firm enough for the quality of help I have received. From my experience, I do feel they “prepare and protect” their clients. As Allen Starrett said, it’s his goal to “ always serve with a high level of compassion and care,” and I feel he does!

My father passed away unexpectedly at age 66 last year. Since it was sudden, my father didn't have a will or anything in order. I called Allen Starrett's office for help at the recommendation of the funeral home. While mourning the loss of my Dad, having 3 young children to care for at home, and being over 400 miles away, Allen spent a lot of time with me on the phone and probably a few hundred emails to help me understand the steps we needed to take to finalize my Dad's affairs.
