First emailed Mr. Wellborn seeking advice on a Friday. Mr. Wellborn called me back, he left a voicemail providing me his personal number to reach him on Monday morning first thing, even though he was out of the office. (a Holiday by the way!!) Even though we were not able to connect via telephone immediately, he said he would call me at 6pm that day and he did exactly that, I value a person honoring their word and he earned my respect. Mr. Wellborn gave me some great advice and a variety of options on the best way to proceed. Although some of the other reviews on here were not great, I believe everyone has different circumstances that dictate how a legal matter is handled and I can only speak to my experience. In my experience speaking with Mr. Wellborn I got the impression that he would do everything within his power to assist me in the event I needed his services. Mr. Wellborn was very respectful and understanding of my situation, I felt he honestly cared. My anxiety regarding this situation has been eased greatly knowing that I have Mr. Wellborn on my side. I do not advocate you put yourself in a situation in which you require legal services, but in the event you find yourself in that predicament do not hesitate to contact Christopher Wellbron. In my request for advice, Mr. Wellborn informed me of the costs associated with his representation which appeared to be reasonable, keep in mind no one gets a free lunch, and you get what you pay for. Also something of note, I never spoke with any of his assistants or other individuals working for Mr. Wellborn I spoke directly to him which was again reassuring. Lastly when writing this review I have not paid Mr. Wellborn, nor has he paid me to write this, I honestly felt so much better after speaking with him, that I felt if he has taken his personal time to talk with me on a holiday, I can take me time to share my experience and provide an accurate account of our interaction. A big thank you to Christopher Wellborn. I hope I never need his legal services but if I do, I feel better knowing he really cares about the outcome.

Wow - amazingly honest! I called Christopher Wellborn to have him resolve a small traffic ticket that I received in SC, and he gladly took my call. Even better.....he didn’t take my money! Instead, he explained my situation and how the citation would/wouldn’t affect me. He basically told me that if I hired him, I would be wasting my money.

I hope I never actually NEED an attorney in the future, but I certainly know who I am calling if I do.

Horrible customer service and no sense of caring about what the customer/client wants! Only in it for himself, clearly! Disliked him before he even opened his mouth!

So, had a legal matter that needed counsel. Chris was referred by another attorney from the Charleston area that I was in contact with. After having a formal sit down I knew he was going to be my attorney. If you want ,need or are looking for an attorney that is a BULL DOG in the legal arena Chris is your counsel.
Unfortunately the legal system is slow moving in its own way but Chris or his office person, Ann , were available through every step. Not to ever wantl legal counseling every again but if I had to, Chris is the ONE!!!!

Strongly recommend Mr. Wellborn is you are seeking a responsive, no nonsense, hands on attorney.
I was out of state and looking for legal assistance for a family member in SC. I reached out to over four attorneys however Mr. Wellborn was the only one that personally called me back. It was a Friday afternoon at the beginning of a holiday weekend. The other attorneys either used phone and computer screeners or didn’t respond at all.
I flew in to SC and Mr. Wellborn met with us in his office on the holiday. I appreciate the time Mr. Wellborn took with us on such short notice. He communicated in a concise, informative manner breaking down the legal facts and options surrounding our potential case. T
I will warn you, if you are the sensitive, emotional type that wants someone to sugar coat or hold back the hard to hear information- then get another attorney. Mr. Wellborn is respectful, but direct. He came across strong and confident about what he could and would do for us.
After meeting with Mr. Wellborn I still followed through with meeting with another attorney in the area for a second consultation. The second attorney provided the same legal information, the fees were less and he was very congenial. But the decision for me came down to who I thought had the professional grit, and commitment to defend and protect our interest, as needed.
I believe you get what you pay for and Mr. Wellborn lived up to that. He followed thru on everything he said he would do. We didn’t have to keep checking in or calling….he just went to work!
I hope I do not need to hire Mr. Wellborn again, but unfortunately we live in a world where anyone can fabricate stories, make false claims and innocent people find themselves trying to defend and protect themselves in unfamiliar territory. He only wants your money ,doesn't have clients best entrance. He sucks my mother paid 20 thousand dollars, for 33 years . Instead of him doing his job which I thought ,was getting my mother less time as possible. Let him tell it she was only going to get probation. At least give your clients good advice that they paid . Not good for the price but you can still be a dummy lol and let this short racist mfer represent you if you want jail or prison time

Handled our case with the exact kind of no-nonsense professionalism I expect from a lawyer.

I would rate them VERY poor. I called them just to see if they were hiring any paralegals and they said, "No".... I asked if I could just fax my resume to them just in case they might need someone, the lady then got aggravated and took a deep breath and said, "its been just the two of us for 20 years" and then hung up on me.

If something would happen to one of them today and they hired someone the next day, I would have a law suit right there! No business can say they are not hiring! They should say, " Not at this moment but we are accepting applications" so it would cover their tails. Apparently this law firm has 2 paralegals that have no idea what they are talking about.
