I met Terry at a seminar he was conducting on immigration during my Master's program at my University. I was supremely impressed by his knowledge regarding immigration law. When I graduated, and secured a job offer, he was the first person I called. My wife and I were wrongly counseled sixteen years ago by a US Consulate in Central America that she had to obtain US Residency even though we were living in Central America. I must thank my lucky stars that I was referred to Terrence Olsen and his staff. My case was a particularly difficult one, and required an appeal against a J-1 two-year home residency clause. Terry professionally spotted a legal pretext to file for a State Department advisory opinion that the waiver was not needed.
