I have never been through any type of litigation, so my testimony/review may be emotionally lengthy. Without going into too much detail, in December of 2012 I was scheduled for a “routine” outpatient surgery (although no surgery is really routine). I was supposed to go in that morning have an operation and be home that evening after leaving recovery. Unfortunately that is not what transpired. What actually happened, sadly and forever changed my life. The “routine” outpatient surgery was far from “routine”. Due to negligence, I spent over a month in the hospital. I was finally released to go home, even though it was recommended I check into a long term care facility to further rehabilitate myself. My rehab at home took over a year and I ultimately had to have another surgery to attempt going back to a “normal” life.

I was urged by friends/family members to pursue a lawsuit. I searched high and low for a reputable Attorney who would take my case. Ultimately a few years later and just recently we’ve reached a settlement (through mediation) on my case. I thought it was a fair settlement after being educated on the disparaging realities of Texas medical malpractice laws. I know that if I did not have John and his team in my corner that I would not have gotten such an outcome or any results at all considering no Attorney prior to him would take my case. John and his team were very respectful, knowledgeable, attentive and showed great empathy towards my situation. His tenacity in getting me a victory is greatly appreciated!
