The neglect of Robert Rennie Jr. led to the foreclosure of one client's house and the dismissal of another client's lawsuit, court records show.
In a ruling issued July 15, Oklahoma Supreme Court justices upheld a recommendation from the Trial Panel of the Professional Liability Trust to suspend Rennie for a year, place him on probation for another year and publicly reprimand him.
The Oklahoma Bar Association had argued in favor of suspending Rennie for two years and one day, but the Trial Panel shortened that time after hearing testimony from judges and attorneys in Garvin County.
