Several weeks passed and he still recalled my situation well. All contacts were hard to engage with, with delayed or no responses. I was charged a retainer by the attorney who eventually took my case. She did not deliver on the two main requests I had, and the rest of her advice was coached in very tentative, hesitant language (lots of 'maybe's and 'let's try's and such) that did not leave me feeling like I was receiving competent legal advice on the subject. When I requested a final bill, I was told it was a flat free that consumed almost all my retainer. I am waiting for a refund of the remainder a month after our business was concluded.
