I would recommend Mountain West Disability. I had applied previously and been denied at the final hearing. I was hesitant to reapply, but after talking with them, I decided to try again.

During the process of reapplying, Mountain West Disability kept in contact with me, followed up with me to see if there were any changes to my conditions, etc.

Heather was amazing to work with! I struggled with the Function Ability forms. I didn’t know where to start.....I was in pure panic mode: loosing sleep, having mental health flare ups, writing and rewriting them several times. She handled my crazy in a calm, collective and understanding manner. She didn’t make me feel guilty or dumb because I was having problems with it. She was very understanding and basically held my hand through all my ups and downs.

I would highly recommend them. They were just who I needed. After working with Mountain West Disability, I really noticed how unprepared, and uninformed of my case my previous attorney was. I wish I would have found them the first time I applied.

As I was working through the process of getting disability I found Mountain West Disability. I contacted them and they provided me with the necessary information I needed and answered all my questions about the process itself and the steps. The contacted me on a regular basis with updates the any changes in the status. They were helpful in submitting the information to Social Security and making sure things were done quickly and on time. It was a pleasure working with them through out the process.

Mountain West is the best disability firm I have used. I was with another firm and they charge more and don't give the best service that Mountain West does. I like the newsletter they publish. It keeps you informed about the whole process and it is fun to read. My lawyer told me that they are going to do more with veterans and that is another reason they are so good.

Things for me started out good. They file all my paperwork which in the end turned out to be wrong. Waited to get a hearing for three years. Three years of talking with them and being lied to. Oh they would say everything is looking good, we'll work for you until the very end, our lawyers are the best and will help you out to prepare you for being in front of the judge, they'll stand by you before the judge but in reality what I got was " hey we got you a court date but our lawyer Matt Ornsby doesn't think you can win so you need to find someone else." Lucky me I got the lawyer without a backbone. I got a lawyer who can't follow thru and then abandoned me when I needed him the most. Look before you sign on with them because they string you along for years then dump you in a heartbeat.

I applied for disability in August 2016. I was represented by Mountain West Disability. They came to my house to explain things to me. I was able to contact them and ask questions when I couldn't get a hold of the SS office. Within 9 months I was approved. I'm very lucky that I was represented by them.I will highly recommend them.

During my struggles of gaining disability, Mountain West just did not and was not able to answer my questions or give any or correct advice. They did not represent my case correctly. They took the longest time possible to do anything on my case with no effort to assist me with my disabilities. Ending in a case that lasted over three years and eventually denied. During this time I ended up with no medical help and homeless in an extremely bad situation that I feel could have been prevented with the kind of guidance and appropriate client care, like what is normal procedures from the company that I have turned to now. Things for me are doing much better now and I'm pulling past the damage done threw the negligent representation that I have received from Mountain west disability now that I have finally got a much better representative for me.

Well, 21 months after filing with Mountain West Disability I get word back from them that there is nothing they can do for me on my Medical Disability due to being ineligible. That is what Social Security told me 21 months prior but MWD said that we had a case against SS.

All-in-All, because Social Security isn't grandfathered I lost 5 months of Social Security payments since I was eligible at 62 years old. MWD thanks for all the waiting, doctor analysis paperwork, and wondering I went through so you could see if I was working or drawing in any money for that time from any other sources.

This was an easy answer for MWD to find out and they failed...SHAME ON YOU! Also, be prepared to pay MWD half of what ever you get from SS...IF, they win!

Mountain West Disability has been the best choice for my claim they have talked me through all steps for my SSDI claim. I have recommended several of my friends as well.

No communication, stuck with a lawyer that new nothing about my case nor did they have all the medical records than had the nerve after I got denied to call and say they wouldnt take my case to appeal like I was to blame haha. I cannot rate even half a star for these people. I would not recommend them for the life of me. They never even had an actual attorney speak with me in a 3 year period. When I had my federal hearing they sent a glorified paralegal to represent me. Her ineptitude cost me my case. Thank god I went to Ben Neilson from Davis county. They were able to help me pick up the pieces.

I chose Mountain West Disability after a bad experience with another firm in Utah County. I am glad I did. They helped my daughter fill out the initial paper work, offered suggestions, and patiently explained the process. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars, because once the application was submitted we still had a lot of work to do directly with Social Security. I was hoping on Mt West dealing with them, not us.
