Matt is a horrible lawyer.

Matt was the worst lawyer. I was very disappointed in him and that law firm. I got into 8,000 in debt. He loved to drag things out. When We went to Mediation, he swapped out with his son who knew nothing of my case and didn't know anything at all. He came back after 4 hours and nothing was resolved I paid $400 for the mediator and i paid Matt $1,000. I should have stopped there but he promised me things and in the end I got now where with him. It was the biggest waste of money. If you need a lawyer do not, I repeat do not go here and do not waste your time and money here.

Horrible people. They will take their time with every case only to drag it out for ever last cent they can take from you. DO NOT USE THEM!

Marty Olsen was my ex husbands divorce attorney. My ex and I have a little girl who was 5 years old at the time of our divorce. Marty Olsen advised my ex husband to try to take everything he possibly could from me, not only at my expense but my daughters as well. Thankfully I had a wonderful lawyer who kept that from happening. From my experience, they are dishonest, careless, and have complete disregard for single mothers who are just trying to do whats best for their children. If you're someone who has any morals at all, I wouldn't go with Olsen & Olsen.

I was a little iffy abutting come here due to the high prices. But decided I wanted the very best attorney working my case. Needless to say, MARTY IS WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY. Marty sat through long mediation days with me and didn’t let me give up. He sat and waited and talked me through everything that happened and he sprung into action as soon as I brought anything to his attention. He helped me get a hell of a lot more time with my boy than my son’s mother wanted me to have with him. There is a reason he is expensive and a very well respected attorney.

Not to mention his assistants work. They were very helpful in times where Marty wasn’t available and I had an urgent matter.

I feel like I have a better perspective just because this is my second time using Mitch Olsen as my divorce attorney! It's embarrassing but, apparently, I like to marry cheaters.
My first divorce was done in 3 months start to finish. It was so easy, I had to keep pinching myself thinking, this can't be this easy. Mitch handled everything. He was so professional and prompt.
So of course, my second divorce Olsen & Olsen was my first choice again. This divorce has been so much harder and so much more work. I feel like the level of experience Mitch has is priceless. He is worth every penny. I'm telling you right now, you get what you pay for. If you’re on the fence about choosing an attorney that won't let you down, choose Mitch Olsen. Every time I walk in, he makes me feel like I'm his only client. I promise you, he will do the same for you!
I just literally walked out of court today and Mitch Olsen killed it in the courtroom. I'm writing this review just so others can experience the same success that I'm feeling right now!

I'd love to say that I haven't dealt with numerous attorneys, but when you're dealing with crazy it's your only choice.
Mitch Olsen is worth Every. Single. Penny. Honestly, I'd pay even more for his expertise, honesty and level of attention to the details that I'm too stressed to remember. Learn from my mistakes. Get the right person the first time.

My divorce case and ex attorney had my life upside down. I switch to Olsen and Olsen and Beau had my case turned around and finalized in a matter of months. Highly recommend for fathers fighting this corrupt utah court system

Not one piece of actual legal work was done on my case. Appointments were cancelled last minute. No calls made to opposing counsel to try to settle. Invoices had names of persons not in my case. Was told no guardian ad litem would ever be assigned to my case. Wrong! Literally every single thing related to divorce law that they told me was incorrect. My retainer of 10k+ vanished with senior attorney rates to do secretary work. Dates and names were wrong on invoices. Their phone system didn't work. My emails were apparently sent to 4 different people so I was charged 4x for the same email, then charged again, a 5th time, when they would read the emails aloud during meetings and they still didn't know what was going on. The whole experience was like the twilight zone. Worst experience I have ever had.

Mitch legit took my $1,000 retainer, then about a week later suggested I use an Attorney in my county. It's been TWO years and I still can't get a reimbursement check.

Out of all the attorney's I've worked with, Olsen and Olsen was the most highly recommended.... And the most HORRIBLE experience I have ever had. What liars. Matt was horrible. Absolutely horrible. I can't even begin to describe how horrible my experience with them was. Incredibly neglectful, wouldn't follow through or listen, HORRIBLY represented me at hearings etc, wouldn't respond or communicate. The jr attorney would promise me the world, and none of it ever got communicated to Matt, and Matt would NEVER even KIND OF deliver. It almost felt like it was one of those attorney's who were actually working with the other side behind your back. Dishonest, disrespectful, unethical, neglectful, bully, threw a last minute claim of a $5000 bill, and asking for $5000 more at least to stay on for trial, after completely ruining my case. My case was far worse off after switching to Olsen and Olsen then it was before I got there. He ruined my chance for a gaurdian ad litem, any expert witnesses, discovery, said he would fix last attorney's mistakes, then didn't, neglected deadlines, said would send out subpeonas then didn't, would disappear and not respond to messages, not listen to what I had to say, wouldn't do what I asked, probably spent more time on phone with oposing counsel than with me. Acted on my behalf without my knowledge or informing me. Would never inform me of anything!! And then would completely neglect my case. It was absolutly horrible. One of those - big firm, put on the back burner, awful experiences. TOTALLY SCREWED UP MY CASE AND HURT ME. I am still reaping the consequences of their poor actions. And they have no conscious about it or about how their neglect and actions will gravely hurt me and my children. He says he's LDS. I Hope what his religion believes is true, and that one day he faces the consequences if what he's done. It was that bad. He really screwed up here. And hurt some people who didn't deserve it and really needed his help. He should be disbarred.

Matthew Olsen has been our lawyer for the past two years. Words are not enough to explain how grateful we are to him. We were referred to him by a dear friend of ours who has had him as a lawyer for over a decade. Matt has done an amazing job in helping us understand what needed to happen throughout our case and ensuring us of the worse that could happen and also keeping our hopes up. Every time we called to speak with him, he would make the time to talk to us and if he was not available he would do his best to call us back. After a long two years of striving to do our best for our daughter, which is adoption by her dad(Sean) he helped us make it to the end and with tears of joy! We are still waiting for her new birth certificate but other then that it has been such an amazing experience. Thank you Matt!!

I was put in a really bad position due to following the advice of my first divorce/child custody attorney. Luckily about 7 months into it, I had someone tell me that I needed to fire my first attorney (I didn’t even know that was a thing I could do in the middle of the case!) and that I needed to retain Marty Olsen immediately. Marty truly turned everything around 100%, and we were able to gradually get me out of the corner that my first attorney had put me in. I have referred countless friends to Marty and will continue to forever! If you want the best - this is where you go.

The BEST divorce attorney in salt lake. He is always professional and does his homework. Be prepared to answer a lot of questions. Which will help you in the end. Going to trial with Mitch at your side is amazing.

Usually only unhappy or uninformed customers put reviews. I read them and I have to completely disagree with their opinions. I usually don't write review very much at all. I have to tell you that Mitch Sr is very professional, knowledgeable, and very thoroughly detail oriented. I was recommended by 3 people who doesn't know each other before I met him. He has been practicing family law for the last 35 years. I feel very comfortable with him. There are a lot of lawyers out there. Mitch Sr will be the one If you want some who know his material. I definitely will recommend him to anyone.
