I agree 100% with Eric,s review its a major problem not just with police but with landlords , businesses state & local , etc they dont and fail to understand people with mental health disabilties and theres no advocacy in the state of Pa for people with mental health disabilities so people that are disabled are constantly discriminated and falsely accused of crimes and harrassment that they never committed. We even have a president that wants to throw every disabled person in jail and wheres justice in that?

There page for internships & volunteer work for college students is not ideal... Difficult to navigate, and an extremely painful experience filling out the internship request form.... Unreasonable expectations for volunteers & interns!!!!

I have PTSD and Bipolar Disorder and contacted them regarding reporting Police Misconduct. They told me to contact the DOJ. After getting the run around from the DOJ, I contacted them again asking for any other ideas they have to get this addressed. I got a nasty Voice Mail saying they don't advocate for people with Mental illness like PTSD, Bipolar, schizophrenia, etc. DRP dosent help individuals in cases like this they exist to address civil rights complaints primarily of classes of individuals, such as children with autism, individuals serving time in state prisons who have mental health and/or substance use disorders, and individuals committed to state mental hospitals. The Autistic or Intellectual Disabled have countless resources to help them, but people with real Mental Health issues like PTSD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia etc can go take a hike! How about Advocating for the Mentally ill in the area of Police contact and abuse. That way we don't wind up in County or State prisons. They are totally useless. Please save your hard earned money and don't donate to them!
