I engaged the services of Rita Polonsky for my divorce after I had fired my previous lawyer for overzealous billing. If you have an issue with this great firm it is because you probably did not have a case to start with. This firm has integrity, and that is a rare find these days. Reading some of these reviews I was appalled . really? You are mad because they did not take your case, ? You came on the wrong day and then complained when a lawyer listened to you during his personal break? I used Mr Neilson as my attorney and I never met someone as down to earth, knowledgeable and pretty hilarious. I trusted him right away, and knew I picked the right firm. Disability is a tough act and they work hard but they can not produce miracles, you need to be disabled. If you are not scamming the system then they will win for you. Disregard any low reviews they are just pissed their benefits ran out and they have no case. You want the best? Zachary Neilson is awesome. I have sent everyone that I know that needs an attorney to him.

I HIGHLY recommend this law firm to anyone who is seriously looking into getting disability, regardless of whether it be SSI, SSD or SSDI. Zachary Nielson is simply the best. He's a great attorney who takes his attorney/client privilege VERY seriously. ❤ He is ethical and personable. ❤ He has a good sense of humor, which I found to be very helpful during this time period of my life which could get very nerve racking. Nervous about getting the SSI, etc. I would call Zach and he would always reassure me & make me feel much better. He's great as a disability attorney because of his compassion and understanding of the illnesses his clients have and they certainly run the gamut. After winning my case, this man hugged me while I cried tears of joy and overwhelming relief. My close friend Kelly won her case with him as her attorney a couple years ago as well. As for the vicious "lady" going on a racist tirade below, you need to get your stuff together. If you weren't taken by a lawyer to present your case to social security, than you have no case. Period. Chances are no other lawyer will take it either. "Headaches" is not a viable reason for one to think they're entitled to disability. My guess is you used up all your welfare money and now you're backed into a corner. As for the "glaucoma", unless you are LEGALLY BLIND you won't be getting disability for that either because you aren't disabled. Plenty of work you can do with that. I know many people with that. They work! These are the BEST lawyers in the state. If they didn't take your case it's because you don't HAVE a case. So, your response is to come on here and have a temper tantrum & go on a racist rant. That just shows everyone who YOU are. NOT Zach, who ALSO happens to be MY attorney and the attorney of a good friend of mine. I have also recommended him to a few people needing an attorney. Why? Because he's so damn good I went up in the court room, and was out five minutes later declared disabled. I didn't even have to WAIT for the judge to make his decision. Small friendly Office with down to earth People. My Lawyer is Mr. Zachary Neilson. He doesn't overwhelme me with legal terms. He speaks to me in laymens terms & explains answering any questions you may have. I was comfortable with the discussions we've had as well as a better understanding of what's to come in the future. The time Frame can take (up to 2 mo's) before you have a response. ( I know from personal experience. It took me 5yrs from start to finish the first time without a Lawyer. Well here we go again. I'm aprox. a little over a year into waiting & I'm finally getting ready to go again only this time with a Lawyer. This is the first stage, a "Meeting". This is the part I'm informed prior to going to court, yet we're in the same setting. They try & determine to the best of their knowledge weather the injuries sustained would indeed effect or interfere with the type of work the person is accustomed to performing. I haven't went to court or anything yet. It's a month away before the battle begins. Please send your prayers, best wishes along with anything (with in reason) as well as positive thoughts /prayers to aid me in my future quest. I really don't want to go through the fighting stage. That part apparently with The State then the Federal Government to assist with my disabilities.
If anyone is possiblely still reading this; Please send a little prayer out for my son. He's brave, loving and most of all for Being the best Me that he can be. I'll follow up as I go through this process.

Mr. Neilson i saw. Waited 2 hrs from my appointment time then got no help at all my appointment was not even on his calender. Told him my problems and he told me i can't get help. I have glaucoma and headaches. Guess you need to be on drugs or of african american decent to get any help. He took me in on his lunch break seemed like he was more concerned with eating. Will never recommend this place to anyone.
