Hello Evan. I promised you I would not forget about you. This review will be strictly based on facts since Evan threatens to sue those that write bad reviews and or expose their case information. That is a factual statement.

I, sadly, hired Evan for an extremely serious case a while ago and the day after I paid my retainer he became a ghost. As a result of his negligence, critical time passed between the initial reporting and the charge due to a lack of movement on our part for a case that lasted several years and cost north of high 6-figures.

My contention with Evan is not in the charge itself that is something no one can control, my problem lies in his lack of professionalism, preying on the desperation of others by saying all the right things (he is a great salesman) and setting unrealistic expectations that were implausible or downright false. I implore you if you find yourself needing a defense attorney, to interview several people and the contrast will become glaring.

I acted out of desperation and impulse because he happened to be the first one to meet with me. It was a bad move on my part, and I paid for in more ways than one. If you value your life or freedom stay clear of this door to door salesman passing as an attorney.

At this point, it is all behind me, but my desire to help others before they make the same mistake I did is only just beginning.

Evan, I didn't forget about you, and treating people like a quick buck has its consequences. I wish I can write it in big red letters. Seek legal counsel elsewhere! In meantime Evan, I promised you would hear from me again and you will.

BTW. If I were you, I would take the bad review on chin. Trust me, it will be much more beneficial to you than if you decide to get on here and say "my memory is fuzzy" or "I am inaccurate" I am sure you would hate for me to post your email to me and text. That WOULD not be good for business. So, take it on the chin.

If you have a CRIMINAL case DONT HIRE this guy he will sell you out just to get a conviction even when you can beat the case and make sure you save receipts because he will STEAL your money and not care a dam about your well being GOD bless!! PS check reviews please this guy is a real FRAUD!!!

I believe that Evan Hughes is a very good to excellent lawyer fighting the good fight in a corrupt judicial system. I interviewed over 50 lawyers before I chose him and felt he was the best. For the record, we lost twice in summary trials carrying momentous consequences for me in Luzerne County , which is a geographical tale of county legal corruption unto itself. Research corruption in Luzerne County, the county that according some say was pivotal in electing Donald Trump. It was not his fault that we lost; we faced corrupt judges who had predetermined decisions and ignored all evidence, injury photographs of assaults, hospital record of assault, and stories by the perps that were obvious perjury heaped on perjury. Their stories changed with each appearance and witness. Evan did his best and presented a ferocious defense that the Founding Fathers would have been proud of. Our great lesson in the form of a caveat is this: If we the people do not fight for court and judge reform, including the televising of all trials, yielding a forum for public accountability then what happened to me...a 58 year-old disabled white woman with a PHD who was trying to save her daughter's life at Lehigh Valley Hospital Hazleton --- then believe me, it can happen to you, even if you choose the best lawyer, as I did. What happened to me demolished American justice, but it was a triumph of American fascism. Listen hard. Take action. Become an activist. Or we will reap a charred and defiled harvest in this Great American experiment of democracy.

I wish I would've did better research on this attorney, I've never had a defense attorney make me feel like I hired the opposition, by hiring him to work against me rather then for me. I thought there where laws to protect you from this happening.
The worst defense effort I've witnessed by a paid lawyer to date. If you care about your well being or friends /families freedom, I suggest you find an attorney who cares more about his or her practice in defending, rather then what they can profit from being allowed to have a license to practice as a defense lawyer.
I almost feel like I'm being prosecuted by a defense attorney I hired to defend me.
I'm working with the bar association and another Law firm now, Hopefully I can seek compensation.
This is unethical, and it should be punishable by law. Being persecuted by a hired defense attorney shouldn't never happen or be allowed in court.
How does a case make it to trial based off hear say and circumstantial evidence.
One reason is hiring a defense lawyer who's not fighting your case, continues once a month for a year without your permission!, to help prosecution and doesn't make or file one motion in your defense.
What bar association did he get his license from? This is ridiculous.

Met with Mr. Hughes for a consultation, he is very helpful and caring, not all about the money. I lookforward to having him as my lawyer. He came highly reccomended.

I was promised a dismissed case due to overwhelming evidence to prove I was not guilty, however, Evan dropped the ball by avoiding important calls and not showing up to hearings. Horrible lawyer. STAY AWAY

This Lawyer made me wire him $5000 and he did nothing but send a fax to a judge. It ended up being the wrong document. He then disappeared, not answering anyone's calls. He completely scammed us. He will promise the world and deliver nothing. I wouldn't use this attorney for a parking ticket.

Do NOT! I repeat DO NOT use Evan Hughes as your lawyer. He only showed up to 2 of my court dates, BOTH times he was late. After the 2nd court date he stopped showing up and sent his assistant. He wont answer your phone calls, texts, or emails. You will not be important to him. He only cares about your money. Hiring Evan just made the worst moment of my life much worse. Avoid this crock at all costs.

Prosecutors love to intimidate and railroad people who are in a difficult situation, some due to no fault of their own. Mr. Evan Hughes handled my family member's case professionally, and was truly a rock star. A lot was at stake, and my family member's record is blemish free!
