SH Block helped me in an emergency situation and actually stayed on the phone for over 30 minutes with the state of MD for free. They helped me with a quick resolution and it was the best outcome I could hope for. I'd rate them 100 stars if I could.

Mr. Block is an unscrupulous snake who chased me for an INCORRECT bill of $300 from a chiropractor. The chiropractor even told me that she had told him to stop bothering me, but he was relentless. For $300. SNAKE SNAKE SNAKE!! I'd rather pay the IRS than hire HIM.

Years of unfiled returns, my own ignorance. Then a tax lien, i realized at that point i needed serious help and i needed to deal with my problems.

Juda was patient and explained the order and timeframe in which things would occur. Within 2 months now i have paid what i owed to the state (i owed a good chunk but just under 10k) so in the grand scheme less than i anticipated. On the federal side some unexpected refunds.

My wife text me one afternoon saying that we had received certified mail from the IRS. According to the letter, we had a significant outstanding tax liability, an amount that for us was staggering. To say that we were terrified would be an understatement. We didn't have the cash on hand to pay it and the thought of losing income from wage garnishment would have had a profound impact on our lives. We did some Google'ing and found the Stanley Block Tax Service website. I scheduled an appointment and met with an extremely capable attorney the next day.

The end result, after several months and several extensions, was that our tax liability had not only been reduced to zero, but we were owed a refund. I can honestly say that these guys saved us from a world of hurt and for that we're very grateful.

Do not waste your time with this joke of a so called firm! Their office is located in a basement that smells of mildew, and I can not believe the junk hall they call a meeting room. Paperwork and old musty books piled so high you can't even see the walls. Not to mention the VHS cartoon made in the 80's about taxes the lawyers daughter played while I waited. That said, I thought who cares if the firm can help my tax needs. No such luck. The elderly Mr. Block was unable to even remember a detailed conversation we had not 24 hours prior. On the phone he said he could help me, then in person he told me I drove there, parked in a sketchy garage, smelled moldy basement and watched a tax cartoon for no reason at all. He could not in fact help me resolve a simple tax issue that another firm I finally found called tax resolution 101. Wish I could give 0 stars!
