strong litigator in the court room if the case goes to trial.
Good luck hope this can help someone who is experiencing custody concerns!

I hired Bryon Szojchet thinking he would be my lawyer, and as soon as I signed my fee agreement he passed me off to one of his other less competent but same cost lawyers, Oya Oner. I told Bryon Szojchet I did not want her as my representative and I hired him to represent me, and to come to court. He tells me I signed the fee agreement and it says in the agreement that the case will be run how he seems fit, with whom he sees fit.
In my time retaining him as a lawyer he cursed me out on two separate occasions. The first time was because he overcharged me 3 hours worth of time(which is 1125$). Not knowing that I take meticulous notes of every lawyer/client interaction we have. When I called him on the overcharge he yelled and cursed me out, and when I told him I write times of every interaction, he backed down and just took the charge off, like it was nothing to him that he got caught and to move forward. He apologized 2 times afterwords and had his paralegal apologized as well, mistake? Or guilty conscious for scamming time. He did remove the 3 hours. But gave no explanation for why it was incorrect to start
The discovery and interrogatories were pretty much all his law firm did for my case and they were done by his paralegal Ashley Wentz. And as nice a person as Ashley was the interrogatory answers were written like a high school senior wrote them, with no lawyer wordage, no objections to their questions, and no real explanatory answers. My responses to their interrogatories were written like I talk, not like a professional who charges 375$ an hour.
I told him a was losing faith in him and his attorneys, and asked him to calculate my child support payment based on the current custody schedule because I don’t think he will do good for me in court. He once again got upset, tells me he doesn’t know my income, or my daughters mothers income or the expenses we have..... Well how do you not know any of that, when her income is on the initial filing papers and I’ve already answered my interrogatories and discovery. How do you not know simple questions about your client? Because he doesn’t choose to care about what matters, you are just a biweekly payment of 150$ to him.
I had mediation on December 3rd, did he call me and ask how mediation went? Or reach out to tell me what the next move is going forward.... No not at all, he called me 3 days later December 6th asking for a payment. I had to remind him i had mediation at which point he responds oh yeah how did it go? I tell him not good and how I want to approach things moving forward. He yells at me telling me I don’t know what I’m doing and he is not longer comfortable representing me, and removes himself from being my counsel .
At the end of the day, go to someone who cares about ur situation and will put in the work themselves and not pawn your life and your childs life off on someone you’ve never met. He didn’t even know my daughters name by the time he removed himself from my case. If I could give 0 stars I would
