Got my divorce done in no time.

Do not use Melissa she is a scam and will take your money and do nothing and then you can be sure she will send you a bill after she does nothing for you. Definitely go somewhere else. I gave her a $1500.00 retainer for a simple divorce no contested no assets to divide and she still hasn't done it and now sent me to collections because she sent me a bill and I refused to pay it since I still have divorce.

Melissa helped me resolve a very high conflict custody case. She is currently working with me to resolve a high conflict divorce. She and her paralegal, Jenn, are amazing in several ways.

First, their communication skills are on par. Whenever I have a question or concern, all I need to do is send an email or call. Typically, my emails receive a response within an hour of being sent, or they call me to talk me through my concerns/questions. Melissa also has marvelous listening and organizational skills.

Secondly, Melissa is honest. When I first talked with Melissa, she didn’t promise me the moon and the stars. She listened to the facts and made judgements based on those facts. When I asked for something to happen that wasn’t possible, she made me aware. She is responsible with your time and money.

Finally, Melissa is an advocate. She is an advocate for my children and for me. After the court hearing was over, the Judge trying my case told me that I have an excellent attorney.

It is evident that at the end of the day Melissa will work for you, on behalf of you, and she is acutely aware that the decisions that are made effect your life.

I retained this firm for a custody battle---- & This firm was never prepared nor knowledgeable STAY AWAY THEY WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY, Melissa was more aggressive with her client (Me). I spoke with Attorney briefly on what services I needed. A consult appointment was given. 15 minutes prior to consult I was given contract papers that included a $2000.00 non-refundable fee. I paid and signed. I then had my consult with the attorney. I found Melissa both friendly and understanding. She told me that she heard me & understood what I was asking to have accomplished. She also told me she would look over a domestic order that I was waiting to get back. So this is my first red flag; After receiving my child support order, I called the office and spoke with Jennifer on having Melissa look over it. Jennifer told me that it wasn't included in my contract that I had to pay another non-refundable $600.00 and sign yet another contract for services. I was pretty upset because previously in my consult that the attorney had agreed to do child support too. So I decided to hire a different attorney, (who by the way only charged me $150.00). Months go by and there is no action from this firm on my case. I had to email to find out what was going on. I finally see some improvement. After a few phone calls, one retyped up custody modification, some emails, one judge's custody conference....I receive and email that my credited balance is about 100 bucks. $2000.00 only got me talks and nothing done. I wrote an email to state my concern as well. I received a response email stating they are sorry I feel this way, but no effort to correct or solve any issues. I decided to with draw this attorney's firm and move onto another attorney who I feel is more apt in skills and not wasting my time nor money. Melissa seems nice as a person. Jennifer has bad customer service. It takes a team for a client to have great accomplishments.

Melissa is an excellent attorney and did a great job with my complicated custody case. First and foremost, she gets back to you in a timely manner and is always ready and willing to answer your questions. Communication is never an issue with her as she will respond back to you via email or by phone. Her attention to detail is outstanding and she makes sure I was “in the know” with my case. Melissa’s paralegal is great as well. If you are looking for a caring, honest, well prepared, professional, and successful attorney, Ms. Montgomery would be a great choice for you.
