I had Ryan Reed represent me for a visitation case with my sons grandmother, at first he seemed promising, like he really cared, he had a solid plan for the modification of the order that I wanted , and it really did seem like he was going to help me achieve what I wanted... however, once the case went to trial he did not help me get any witnesses together, he had little to no contact with me through the whole process. The day of the final hearing, I felt like he was teamed up with the opposing attorney Feintstein, what I wanted and needed done was pushed aside and a new plan was made, one that was not any better really, my sons grandmother is constantly filling contempt on me over ridiculous lies and just causing trouble for me, the reason I wanted the order revised to begin with, my son is 15 and I feel like it should be his choice if he goes to his grandmother or not, and the day of the final hearing I expressed my concerns that certain parts of the new order were not going to work, due to my son going to church camp and I really did not want to even sign the order that day, but Mr.Reed said if I didn't sign the new order that the judge would put the original order into effect and although the new order still solves nothing with my sons grandma causing me trouble, it was somewhat better than the original one from 2007.. so I signed it, Mr.Reed told me that day he would represent me for free in any future contempt cases.. well fast forward to september and due to certain parts of the order my son's grandmother has filed contempt on me once again, just like I KNEW she would as I had expressed to Mr.Reed with, whe filed with false claims and this time she is trying to get me to serve a 30 day jail sentence... I had contacted Mr.Reed several times when I found out she filed against me and he never got back ahold of me, no email back or call back just nothing, then my sons grandpa was basically harrassing me through text threatening to add more contempt charges (his words) to the case because my son had a soccer game on their scheduled mid week visit day, basically taunting me that they had an attorney still, I said Mr.Reed said he would represent me during a contempt case, to which my sons granpa says, thats not what he told my attorney... so not only did I not even get the order modified how I wanted it, he really was teamed up with their lawyer and apparently discusses things with other attorneys about his clients.... mal practice much?? we had our preliminary hearing for contempt today, and I saw Mr.Reed at the court house, I wanted to ask him if he still was going to represent me during a contempt case, but I would rather take my chances representing myself than to have him team up with Feinstein again.... do not use Ryan Reed as your attorney he will not fight for you at all.....2 grand wasted...

Couldn't have asked for a better turn-out. If I get to rent homes, buy firearms, and vote... it's a win in trial. What I learned? When an officer bothers you, you nicely tell them you're not discussing your day, politely tell them you don't consent to any searches or seizures, and that you're going to invoke your 5th amendment. That puts them in a corner to prove you've done anything. A 8 month event could have been reduced to a 20 minute Terry Stop.
Thank you Ryan and sorry for making your job difficult.

You will never win with this guy! He is in cahoots with the municipal court prosecutor. Mark Feinstein is the prosecutor. They are co-owners of a property together quit claim deed ! Your best bet is to get an attorney from out of town. Champaign County is all about scratching each other‘s back’s!
