I was arrested on suspicion of OVI in early April 2018. A little more than six months later, I have no OVI, no points on my license, and my mandatory 12 months license suspension (after my attorney Joseph Kunkel was able to negotiate it down to six months) is already over. I was also not required to attend a driver intervention program (DIP).

In consideration of the fact that I had two priors from 2007 and 2008, to have my charges reduced so dramatically is nothing short of a miracle. I’ve been a client of Luffman, Heck & Associates multiple times over the course of more than a decade, and while it’s never ideal to need the services of a lawyer in this capacity, I have the utmost praise and appreciation for the work that they done for me. These guys we're great. Second offense OVI and they gave me nothing but peace of mind as soon as I called them. I started off with a cheaper lawyer that was pretty much forfeiting and wanted me to take any deal available opposed to wanting to fight it, which triggered alarms in my head for new representation... The stop was very unjust in my opinion. Needless to say they were able to turn into a reckless op . We probably could have beat the case but given the circumstances and the offer, we chose to take the lower charge/fine and conclude what's been a long process . The county was also one where you wouldn't like to put the future in their hands. Thanks to the guys at the firm 10 days in jail, court costs/fines and a liscense suspension turned into a scratch on the armor, fine/court costs(cancelled out by previously posting bail) and a couple points on my liscense.

Ben Luftman and Peter Scranton are amazing at their jobs! Both gentlemen are very knowledgeable and patient with clients. They immediately knew what needed to be done to take care of my case and within a few days my driving privileges were most definitely restored and eventually the entire charge was dropped after a couple months.
Ben appeared the first time and basically educated the local courts on the wrongdoing of the officers and troopers. We left with paper stating that all driving privileges were not revoked and I had no restrictions. I spoke with Ben Luftman on the phone the day after it happened. I told him all the details of my case, with the most important one being that I blew .169 on the breathalyzer. It was my first offense, and this firm believes in second chances. Ben told me that he could help me, and he believed that he could keep the OVI off of my record.
