Words can't express my greatfullness for what I accomplished in my bankruptcy case that was filed by my lawyer Mark Herder in 2014! I purged all of my debts and still kept my house. I had some tough personal issues but was still able to last month complete the bankruptcy program. Mark has always got right back in touch with me, even when he is out of town or over a football weekend (he is with the Ohio State team). I remember his old office on South High, in German Village. He has not changed at all and I really am impressed with his new location.

They try to coerce their clients to file a chapter 13 even when a chapter 7 would be better for the client. Marks partner Lindsay became belligerent when my wife and I wouldn't agree to file a chapter 13. It was surreal. They make a lot more money when their clients file a chapter 13 versus when they file a chapter 7.

This law office saved my house from the county court auction by quickly filing bankruptcy for me. I had become sick and unable to pay my mortgage. Mark Herder and Lindsay both represented me at the bankruptcy hearing and I could not be more thankful for what they have done for me. Even though I am super busy, the office worked with my schedule. Mark has even called me on the weekend to confirm important information and court times.

I never had the need for any bankruptcy lawyer before I was faced with crushing debts. On top of that, this crazy collection outfit unannounced took all of my money from my bank account. I talked to Mr Herder on the phone and he wouldn't let me get a word in he kept almost screaming at me that he was always right and does thousands of bankruptcies a year and he knows better than anyone about bankruptcy and that if another lawyer told me I could file chapter 7 then I needed to go with that lawyer then and wouldn't even let me get a word in hardly at all when I tried to ask questions about chapter 13 then got mad cause his auto texter kept texting me every few days it got annoying and I finally replied STOP and he seemed mad because I did that, then he actually said he had to go to court still not letting me say anything cause he kept talking with a angry voice and just hung up on me.

I just finished my chapter 13 bankruptcy case with Mark Herder and am very, very pleased with his services. I had 2 pieces of real estate in the case and Mark was able to arrange things so that the last 5 years have been very successful. I was able to eliminate 2 mortgages through the process and still keep my main residence. When I was shopping around in the beginning, other bankruptcy attorneys had suggested that I follow through with mortgage modification. Mark pointed out that this was not a good strategy for me at all. I have also been able to reestablish my credit along the way too and am now looking forward to retiring in my home that was saved in the bankruptcy!

I used Mark Herder for 2 bankruptcy cases in the past and they were both very good experiences. I first met him when he was on South High and then filed again with him at East Broad. I was able to keep my motorcycle in the second case and have done alot of updates to the bike.

I've been through two prior Chapter 7 bankruptcies. The first one I did all the paperwork through an online kit, about $700 total. Don't do that unless your situation is fairly simple and you can't get the money for a lawyer. It turned out to be a huge disaster. The second one, I hired attorney Mark Herder, about $780.00 total. I had friends go through bankruptcies and make huge and costly mistakes, and I then found out about Mark's office from a friend at church. Mark actually called me back even before visiting his office, and his office is truly on the ball. At court, the Trustee took about 5 minutes and was very smooth. Mark's office has simple pricing and no hidden or extra costs. He does not nickel-and-dime you from a laundry list of "possible" additional charges, such as credit reports or the counseling classes. I received my official discharge last year, am very pleased with the process and am receiving numerous offers to reestablish my credit. I feel very much blessed by the experience.

I learned about bankruptcy attorney Mark Herder from a real estate agent friend, who said that the experience with his law office would be smooth and painless. The bankruptcy process can be very humiliating to say the least, but the staff and especially Brittany (a lawyer in the office) made the filing of my bankruptcy case very quick, efficient and nonthreating. Every aspect was carefully explained along the way and everything was repeated so that the average individual can process all of the information. The staff was able to communicate the needs so that it is not just another unapproachable foreign language. I felt like I was being served in a genuine way at all times. Mark Herder even called me at 6:30 PM on a Saturday (in the middle of the summer) to remind me of some important information that I still needed to provide his office.
