I paid $3,000 in a retainer and asked for a portion back because according to what he bills per paperwork filed etc., the amount I pre-paid was much more than the amount of actual work he did for me. I did not receive anything back.
Not one time was I copied or emailed on any paperwork they said they submitted through the court. Probably because he does not want to reimburse anyone’s retainer for time not used. I had to ask Jeff several times to get driving privileges, which he said I was not granted. Then during my plea out the judge said, “Continue with driving privileges until suspension expires.” I was floored!
Jeff also failed to provide a copy of my insurance that I had during the time I was pulled over. So the Ohio BMV charged me an extra $150 to my reinstatement and said I had to carry SR22 for 3 years for being "uninsured." I had to have my insurance company send copies of my coverage during that time to get a refund and the SR22 removed. What a pain.
Jeff has no intentions on helping you unless you want to go to trial for another $3,500, which is where he makes his money. It is a buddy system at Mason so unless you want to pay for a trial just stay away.
This was the most unprofessional and the most unethical firm I have ever dealt with. Jeff was also arrested for domestic violence during the time he was representing me in April of 2018, right before my court date, and this was not his first offense.
