Reid handled my case. I only had to pay half of my fee upfront to retain him, and the other half was due the date of my court hearing; which was very convenient for me. He was very upfront and communicated with me every step of the way. He got my probation term cut in half and one of the two charges dropped. After the court hearing Reid continued to communicate with me and kept me updated on my case through the court. He is aggressive and gets the job done quickly. If you need a lawyer, I most definitely recommend Reid Roethe!! He’s a great guy and he will take care of you.

I am not sure where the positives come from on this man. In my experience with him I must say he was awful. It seemed to be my job to gather my evidence that he needed to prove my innocence. Please keep in mind he was informed of the police agency that had it. One thing that I did note the day of court most cases with paid representation have their cases called in my case they ordered him to return in 45 minutes. This man is extremely greedy and only concerned about his fees yes he was paid 3/4 of his fees upfront and balance the day before court but in the 15 months yes 15 months of which I did not nor was notified of his prolonging of this case all he did was call me and hound me about his fees. Never about my case. He was paid in full and I did pay him exactly as I told him I would. He did get nervous when the judge asked me if I was satisfied with my representation and I answered I would rather not say. Good luck to you in my opinion he is still “practicing “ law.

My step son got into some legal trouble, and I was recommended to Reid by a guy who said Reid saved his life (he was facing 2 separate felony charges in different counties). This person went on to get a security clearance and work for the National Security Agency. One of the best choices I have ever made was listening to this individual and hiring Reid. He took care of my step sons legal issues with no problems. The guy is exceptionally professional, very aggressive, highly trust worthy, and has a plethora of experience. If you find yourself in need of legal assistance, you are making a mistake to go anywhere else.

I hired reid roethe to get a protective order dropped that and ex girlfriend put on me with false accusations and lies. Reid heard my case and knew exactly how to handle it. He is an aggressive attorney and took all my stress away. I would highly recommend........

Reid represented me better than any attorney I've had! His fee was very competitive, but I got so much more for my money! Reid took a personal interest in my case and had the knowledge and skills to tackle a very difficult situation from a non-traditional perspective that worked just as he planned. I highly recommend Reid if you need a knowledgeable, aggressive defense attorney that gets results!

Reid Roethe is an excellent attorney. I made a mistake, yes I know. But Reid made sure I knew my rights & provided options for my defense. The service & expertise surpassed the fees, a true value. Reid took 3 phone calls & responded to 2 emails well after my last court date. Also the court clerk made a mistake that Reid was able to fix by working with the prosecutor. Because of Reid's due diligence this problem was resolved with haste. This was well after Reid was paid in full. The mistake the court clerk made could of resulted in an unnecessary charge & I would of found out the hard way.

Great job & I would recommend.

Does payments.

Respects his clients.

Reid was very helpful in my situation. I was referred to him my another attorney who told me is was the go to guy for my case. On meeting with Reid, we discussed the case, he laid out the options, what was to expected, good and bad, was very fair on his fees, and the most important part, he was able to accomplish what we were looking for!! I would not hesitate to use him again and refer anyone to him. He gets 5 Stars from me!!

I paid him $3,500 upfront, for a felony 6 charge (the least serious felony), first time offender. Reid took the first plea offer, and I was sentenced to 365 days (180 days… I spent 90 days in jail, through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years).

A friend of mine who nearly has a law degree told me that it was a mistake to pay him the full fee upfront, as he might have been more motivated had I paid him half first, half after completion. My girlfriend also seemed dismayed whenever I told her about him, or when she listened to his voice mail message—normally she’s very positive, but even before the sentencing date she was angry on my behalf at Reid’s hurried manner and his infrequent contact.

Indeed, everyone I’ve talked to about his performance has said that he did a poor job (some in more colorful language), from people within the jail who went so far as to say I should sue him (it’s remarkable how much they know about the law...going on and on about what Reid specifically neglected to do), to my mother (who doesn’t know that I was beaten in jail and woke up in a huge pool of my own blood), to my aforementioned friend, to my girlfriend, to my sister.

After months of calling him and no contact from Reid Roethe, he called me a few days before my sentencing date and left a hurried voice mail, telling me that he had been in Florida on vacation. He told me to gather all the mitigating evidence I could, rushed through several other things to remember, then hung up.

At my sentencing, I was presented with the discovery of evidence against me. It was the first time I had seen the evidence in the discovery against me. Only later (in jail) did I learn that I could’ve said, “This is the first time I’m seeing this. I need time to process this.” That simple sentence would’ve gotten me a continuance, which (I have since learned), is a benefit to the accused and often, if not usually, inspires the prosecutor to sweeten the plea deal. Between the prosecution and the accused, there are 6 total continuances that can be had. Since the state is reluctant to spend resources on a trial, it’s better not to accept the first plea deal offered.

During my sentencing, when asked if I would like to remove my attorney, I was stunned and I said No (because he was sitting beside me, and I had already paid him $3,500—all my savings—and I was not prepared to hire another attorney and was not sure what that entailed. This was the first time I had ever been at a sentencing and I did not know what I was doing. Apparently, that too would’ve been to my benefit.

Despite having no prior convictions, I was sentenced to 180 days in jail (and spent 90).

Additionally, considering I had imminent financial obligations, he did not ask for a delay of my incarceration.
Do not plead guilty without first seeing the Reciprocal of Discovery.
There was no postponement of sentencing, no bond reduction, I didn’t get a copy of the discovery, and there was no criminal conversion (to plea it down to a misdemeanor).
If you intend to hire Roethe, I would advise against paying him the full fee upfront. I think I would've fared much better with a public defender.

Reid Roethe has basically saved my life. A few years ago I was arrested on some hard charges. I worked with multiple attorneys on a daily basis and went to them for advice. Many of them told me to take a plea bargain. They charged me thousands of dollars for the advice of admitting to a crime that I did not commit. Along the way I was referred to Reid. He told me all of my options, and did not push for any one option harder then the other. He told me the risks and long term effects of each. When I said I wanted to fight it he was fully on board, and told me exactly what we were going to do. At no point did I feel left out or in the dark. He charged a VERY FAIR RATE, and set me up with a payment plan. All of my charges were dropped. I have since earned a career that would never have been possible with out Reids help. I have called on him through out the years with help gaining a security clearance, and recently he helped me expunge all my records for again a VERY FAIR RATE. I am half way across the world, and he again never kept me in the dark. He communicated with me every step of the way. When it comes to legal matters Reid is my go to subject matter expert. I will never attempt to deal with a legal matter with out consulting Reid first. There are very few people in the world I trust, and often Attorneys get a lot of mistrust thrown their way. Reid is one of the most trusting people I have in my life, and I do not see that changing ever. If you need an attorney for any reason I can not say this more clearly REID ROETHE SHOULD BE YOUR #1 PICK. Do not wast your time, money, and security looking around for some one else he is the guy to do the job.

I was looking for a lawyer to handle some personal affairs. I made an appointment and he got me right in. Mr. Roethe was very efficient and professional. He sat me down and we went over everything together and he explained all my options to me. I was very comfortable with him and will definetly go back anytime I need an attorney.

I was in search of an attorney to help a family member in a legal matter. I narrowed down a list of attorneys that I thought would benefit us best. I called 3 of the attorneys on my list. After I spoke with Attorney Reid Roethe, who returned my call pretty swiftly, I was feeling very confident that I had found the perfect lawyer to help with the situation. Yep, I was correct ! Attorney Reid Roethe went above and beyond to handle the legal matter. I was actually over-impressed. I don't want to sound over-the-hill in my review, but I've had my share of legal matters in my day and no other attorney has delivered the results that Attorney Roethe has done for us. I will be referring him to anyone who inquires !!!
