TERRIBLE LAW FIRM - BAD REPRESENTATION AND EXPENSIVE

My wife and I hired this firm to do our divorce. The representation and communication has been terrible. They did not listen to us at all and passed us off to multiple attorneys for months. Never told us that we needed to complete a COPE class . Severely slowed the process and our divorce down and screwed the paperwork up multiple times.

We went in and said we want a 50/50 physical and legal custody divorce. They came back with a 70/30 split in her favor and juiced up the child support even though we told them we DON"T WANT CHILD support or wanted to minimize as much as possible since we each have the kids 50% of the time.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE FOR ANYTHING! EVEN THROUGH YOUR LEGAL PLAN _ THEY ARE TERRIBLE ATTORNEYS.

For all of you reading these 1 star reviews hear me out. This is a highly professional group. I have used them a few times on Real Estate Transactions and i assure you they are highly professional and easy to work with. I will continue to use them for my closings as long as I am real estate investing in Indiana. Thanks everyone for your hard work.

Started out great with attorney Magda helping us through the process of parents petition, but after she left or was dismissed from the firm, it went down hill. Set up a meeting with new attorney to take case and after meeting we were to hear back after a week to see what was our next step, well its been about 5 months now and i have left emails and voicemails for a call back. Very dissapointed.

I worked with Brett Osborne and really liked the experience. He's very gracious and patient with questions, and follows up regularly with you on your case. He's the only attorney I've had experience with at the firm but based on his services I have a very good impression of the firm.

I had an excellent experience with Hocker & Associates and attorney, Rachel East. Rachel went above and beyond to help me and my family with estate documents. I referred other friends to Hocker who had similar experiences. I will definitely return to them for future services.

Horrible experience family law attorney experience! Biggest mistake! Don't hire.

Hocker Associates attorney, Kassandra Green, presented herself as a family law attorney, when she was in fact a real estate attorney.
Her incompetence in family law lead to mistakes filing and allowed for a change of judge, which lead to me losing custody and contact with my teenage son, in New Castle, small town in Indiana, within 4 months of hiring her.
My son was alienated against me. Kassandra, agreed to things with the New Castle locally biased judge & opposing counsel, without me being involved in the hearing even though I made clear I wanted to participate in the hearing, lacking due process. My request was denied for a custody evaluation by an expert child psychologist who had previously been involved in our case, by the new small town judge. Kassandra lied about her conservations with the judge and opposing counsel. I was unable to appeal, in time.
Kassandra said she was upset with the judge, but her firm Hocker, was recommended & advertising within weeks, as a family law firm in New Castle, shortly after my failed hearing and loss of contact with my alienated son.

I was very disappointed with the customer service. The receptionist was really nice and I felt welcomed. However, the customer service from the attorney we met with was not welcoming. I did not feel comfortable, the whole time I was there I believe it was about 3 times he/she mentioned that we had to pay her $$$ per hour which was the hourly pay. I think I understand the first time some one tells me. But I found it disturbing that it was repeated over and over; at least twice. It makes it seem like that is what is most important. In addition, the way I was being talked to was rude. All in all, I think that the way you talk to someone is very important, and sadly I did not like the way I was talked to.

The attorney I had a consultation with showed very little interest in my problem. He asked for 24 hours to look into the matter and then never got back to me. I sent him several inquiring emails looking for updates and ended up doing the leg work for myself to get the matter resolved. I would not recommend attorney Osbourne.

Janet completed a Quiet Title for us on property we acquired through a tax sale. It took a bit longer than we hoped but it was a slow court not the firm. They were efficient and stayed on top of it doing their best to get it through in a timely manner. We will definitely use them again.
