I requested information online and was contacted back as soon as they opened. I was given information for me to be able to decide if my case was reasonable and able to move forward.

Before I start i will caution everyone who thinKS hiring them to stay away.

Here is my story.
In March of 2017 my now ex wife and I decided to go each other way. Before I got a attorney we,agreed upon everything. And I mean everything. We know how to deal with assets who gets,what so all we needed was,someone to process the paperwork. Also to add to story we don't have assets children or no major assets. We decided to sell house and split everything 50 50. So pretty straight forward (or so I thought). We,also hoped to save since only paperwork needs filed. After going to couple we decided to hire law in Kc because theor website says that a,simple divorce is 1200. So we agreed and since she was not going to fight anything we thought it's the best way to go. When I got my first appointment the amount was increased to 1500. And I also got a,"timeline" on how long all this will take.
So I made first deposit. After about 3 months I got notice that we just need to sell the house and to get the date. At that meeting the amount estimate I got changed as,well. Now it was around 2000. But since I was to much in it and hopingfor it to be over soon I bit my tongue and we moved on. Soon after igot notice that I needed to put more in my account. So I put another 600 which I thought was,the 2000 she quoted. AbouT 2 months later I got notice that we are going to get a court date next month so she said to use money left over in retainer since we are close to wrapping it up. So fast forward. We sold the house and she said I am getting the date in 2 weeks oh and by the way you are behind 450 dollars not add last court fee. So there wa's another 600. (Total is now 2800 for something that was,quoted 1500 and on website 1200.) Now we are in court. Scheduled at 9 am. She comes in with stack of paper probably foot high. Then she disappears. Judge calls me at 925 but she is nowhere
to be found. It took a total of 3 tries and waiting till 11:30am. It just has shown her professionalism. So an estimate of 1500 windex up to be 2800 fir just doing paperwork.
Then to top it off it took from March till Octiber(7months) for what should have taken 3 to 4.
Last thing was if I needed info or advice I was, waiting on 3 days average sometimes more than a,week yet when was time to send me a bill it came right on time.
SO YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. I DISREGARDED REVIEWS AND PAID THE PRICE. DON'T DO THE SAME. SHE ADVERTISES LOW PRICING. ONCE YOU ARE AT POINT OF NO RETURN YOU'LL BE LUCKY TO ESCAPE WITH YOUR UNDERWEAR.

I went through a bankruptcy 2 years ago. I was supposed to have my home debt reaffirmed and she did not follow though on getting this done. She blamed my mortgage company for not following through and did not offer to fix the issue. Now my mortgage has been discharged and I cannot refinance my mortgage without reaffirming the debt which involves reopening the case and lots of fees that I cannot afford. If she had done the job I paid $1500 for in the first place this would not have been an issue. I would have had this off my plate 2 years ago. I contacted her about this at the time I was informed of this matter and she and her staff became very nasty with me and basically blamed me and Wells Fargo for this not being taken care of. 1) she was paid to take of this for me and 2) where was the follow up on this by her office. I would not recommend her to anyone and I will never use her services again as I am in a real pickle now.

This is a really good bankruptcy law firm that also specializes in family law and divorce law. Over the years they have helped me with a number of legal problems, personal and business related. Now thank goodness that I have many of my legal problems past me all they have to do for me is the occasional traffic ticket. Highly recommended.

Not impressed with the service or the prices. Quoted 1 price and paid twice as much for little to no work needing to be done. Case is completed but not all the paperwork has been done or put through. Not a great place for child custody cases.

Carrie Sue handled my divorce about 3 years ago. Working with her was an absolutely horrible experience! She offered no advice on what to expect and what to demand in my parenting plan. She was terrible about returning calls and when I asked questions, I often did not get a response. If she responded, it was not in a timely manner. I would strongly recommend AGAINST dealings with Carrie Sue Doxsee.
