I owe a lot of Gratitude to The Paul Wilkinson Law Firm. Paul & Jonathan absolutely did not have to take my case considering we were at the very end of being able to file and push forward. I was in an accident in 2014. A driver that was texting and driving rear-ended my mother and I at a stoplight. I wasn’t sure how I was going to proceed considering I went to the hospital in an ambulance. I figured I would take care of the case myself and within a couple of months I met a guy named Michael Sawaya.

Believe me The Sawaya Law Firm is just that. “ALL FLUFF” sounds great on TV let me tell you about my experience with the Sawaya Law Firm. Let me start with the fact that I have been off and on with a 28 year Substance Abuse Addiction. At the time of the accident I had been clean and sober for about a year. In 2017 almost 4 years clean and sober I had a relapse.

After several procedures and finding out that I was 28% impaired on my right hand side of my body due to nerve damage caused by the other driver of our accident. The only reason that the Sawaya Law firm was very excited to take on my case was because there was $250,000 coverage on the other drivers insurance. The maximum they could go after.

After the fact that in 2017 I got into legal trouble personally due to my addiction. A simple possession charge. Since that’s what addicts and alcoholics do. Not saying all people in recovery relapse but yes that is part of my story. After acquiring $101,000.00 in medical bills. Being sent from this doctor to that doctor to that neurologist to physical therapy. I just wasn’t getting any better. The Sawaya Law Firm only cared about how much money they were going to put into their pocket and really didn’t give a damn about me and my injuries or bills.

After working just over three and a half years on this case. I was called to the Sawaya Law firm only to be told that they were dropping my case because they felt they weren’t going to be able to earn enough money to go after the case. I was absolutely floored. My personal substance-abuse and legal issues had nothing to do with the fact that the other driver crashed into my mother and I and caused a lifetime damage to me. At the same time that I was clean and sober. But low and behold my case wasn’t made for TV and the Sawaya Law Firm dropped me like a hot potato.

I was recommended by an acquaintance to come to PW Law Firm because I was hit by a couple of drunk drivers. Emotionally, financially, and mentally I was NOT in a good space. In 2013, my children and I were rear-ended on our way to my son's Championship football game. Although it seemed straight forward, it was not, ours was very complicated. My first impression of this Firm “Oh my, finally someone is going to help!” I did not know what to do for the three of us. The pragmatic and straight forward approach that Jonathan took made me feel extremely comfortable to work with him. They gave me peace of mind. They immediately secured a third party for the medical bills.

I could barely move and my kids were in severe pain requiring them to be on a concussion protocol with their schools, and physical therapy for several weeks. The emotional portion for my children was tough. My injuries included a torn disc in C5-C6. After months of injections and other treatments, neck surgery was the last option. Jonathan was very thorough with my medical history and knew more about my medical report than one would want an outsider to know, but he handled it with dignity and with the utmost professionalism.

The initial settlement was insulting. Jonathan believed in all three of our cases (as I stated, our case was complicated) and pushed forward. The other driver’s insurance company hired a pretty aggressive law firm to represent them but did not deter Jonathan. I went through a full day videotaped deposition, with their three attorneys, and was questioned on each child and then myself. With Jonathan there, I was more than confident.

Soon after this deposition, my children cases were settled very reasonably. About a month later, my case was settled for the full policy limits of the driver’s insurance.

But, my case was over their policy limits, so Jonathan then filed a claim against my own UIM. Less than a month later my insurance company gave me an excellent offer. I didn’t stress throughout this process, because of Jonathan. I must give kudos to his amazing Paralegal staff as well!

I was T boned by an under-insured driver. Forced into a settlement I DID NOT want, I was willing to go all the way despite the waves ahead! I was the only one! I did everything wrong when i was rear ended. I am 46 and an old school, hardworking, electrician who's never sued any one and didn't go to the doctor right away until i couldn't get out of bed a couple days after the incident.
