Highly Recommend! Todd and his team were really great to work with through my divorce, I found the whole team to be excellent. Todd took over from my first lawyer who had missed one of the first deadlines and was allowing my now ex-spouse to send threatening emails and to not move out of the house. Todd got me caught up, put an end to the petty emails within the first week and got us in separate houses soon after and kept records of everything to use in mediation and the court documents he filed. I came away from a very contentious divorce and highly difficult ex-spouse able to buy my own house, credit debt paid off, retirement money and parenting plan in place. Also, Todd is an excellent communicator, both verbal and written which is not the first thing you may look for, but those skills are vital and it is key to have well written communication and documents and a well-spoken attorney who is well regarded in the court system through this process. I felt Todd and his team were very responsive, understanding and strategic. I recommend Stahly LLC and would hire them again.
In response to some other reviews: Yes, you have to pay for his service - it is worth it and he tries to limit the expenses by having junior team members do some tasks with his direction. Todd remains very professional during a very difficult time in your life - you may be breaking down and freaking out, but he will be collecting the information of your circumstances and will try to monetize it in your favor through the settlement, which in the end is exactly what you'll want. Todd will try to steer you toward the best decisions which is difficult during such and emotional time. Yes, Todd tries to avoid court when possible so that he can remain in more control of the best outcome for you and keep expenses down. Also, you need to become part of the team too - you need to ask questions and make changes and discuss the strategy and direction. You can trust that he has your best interest in mind but if you are unsure, ask and insert yourself into the process to be as helpful as possible.

Todd was co-counsel for me on what ended up being a very painful and drawn out divorce... but ultimately we prevailed on everything important. I don't plan to remarry or re-divorce, but if somehow this happened Todd would be my first call.
Initially I screened Todd and went with another attorney who was more expensive... I thought I was getting bigger guns. Big mistake. Todd can come off as Boulder-casual but he's actually a total pro--when my case was going sideways Todd was able to come in and turn it around. He did a fantastic job prepping me for depositions and testimony, and was fantastic in front of the court, an arbiter, and in depositions.
Todd is someone you can rely on. He does what he says he's going to do when he says he's going to do it, and is a great thought partner and strategic mind in helping navigate big decisions on a case. He doesn't promise you the world in his sales pitch--which is good as you want someone to inject realism into your expectations.

Todd’s office consulted with us to resolve a move out of state with shared custody of our child. They gave excellent guidance along the way and everything went better than expected. We would definitely hire them again!
My situation was quite entangled involving a case in a foreign country. Conor and Todd handled the matters perfectly leading to a proper resolution of the case. I highly recommend them, especially if complex matters are involved. They approached my case essentially academically, since it was a very difficult and untypical one.

After being married for 30 years to an attorney and needing a divorce attorney to represent not just my interests, but those of my minor daughter, the law firm of Todd Stahly excelled at what needed to be done in my complicated divorce case. Mr. Stahly and his coworkers were prompt, knowledgeable, and supportive. The entire firm was very friendly and respectful to my hardships and helped to ensure a unchallenging divorce and secure future. I give this law firm my highest recommendation.

Todd is a meticulous, well prepared, level headed, highly strategic and honest attorney who seeks a speedy resolution to the very messy and uncomfortable situation that an acrimonious divorce represents. He is focused on getting to an outcome, accelerating the timelines, and managing the legal costs, since it is easy to spend more money litigating issues than the issues are actually worth (a strategy the opposition loved, spending 10+ hours and $2500++ arguing about a $400 fridge and a $300 dryer...) Todd looks at the big picture and urges compromises on the little things that don't justify the costs of bickering. While the Colorado Bar advised me when I attempted, unsuccessfully, to file a complaint against the opposing attorney, that the opposing attorney NOT lying on behalf of his client would be an act of misrepresentation, Todd has higher ethical standards than that. He advised me to never stoop to the level of the opposition, and his ethics stand him and his reputation in good stead with judges. For a very fair, ethical, meticulous and strategic lawyer who seeks to arrive at a fair, speedy and efficient outcome, Todd is highly recommended.

I went through 3 attorneys and I wished I known about Todd Stahly earlier. After 3 painful years, through a friend recommendation, I hired Todd. My divorce is complicated, involved businesses and overseas accounts. Within 3 months of hiring him, he hired a retired judge as our mediator and we settled. Todd and his team are the best in Colorado. Fair and ethical Billing.

Todd helped protect me from the trauma and financial despair of going through a divorce while I was also recovering from major back surgery and unable to work. He was kind, wise, experienced and navigated a positive outcome for me, after what was likely the worst year of my life. The outcome of the divorce was Todd’s expertise at work, and I am confident that Todd “won” the battle in this divorce that I helped me begin my new life as a single person. Thank you, Todd.

I found Todd Stahly through other peoples' referrals. Previously, I had an Attorney “X", who delayed in forwarding valuable emails that I should have received in a timely manner. In addition, “X” responded to my questions with legal untruths by second guessing what he thought I wanted to hear. In contrast, Todd was a breath of fresh air. I may not have liked everything that he advised with legal answers to my questions, but it was the legal truth - which is what I needed in an attorney. Todd displayed legal knowledge and ethical behavior. He was also thorough in his research in trying to help me. I am disabled and Todd made sure that my medical needs were accommodated by his office staff and by others during Mediation. No divorce is pleasant, but if I had to do it over again, I would hire Todd Stahly.

This is an excellent law firm and I would recommend them to any of my friends or family. For the past year, I have been working with Todd Stahly and Megan Deaton. Both are professional and knowledgable, yet extremely kind and considerate. Todd recommended a therapist for me (to help during this challenging time) and I absolutely love her! Divorce, post-divorce, custody, parenting plans, PRE's, etc are very difficult for everyone involved. I found the Stahly law firm and every employee I encountered, to be thoughtful and extremely professional. I am fairly certain my journey in this context is not over. I feel confident knowing Todd and Megan will continue to advise, support and guide me to the best possible outcome for myself and my family.

Todd helped me through a long arduous divorce. Todd did a great job keeping me focused and providing the information requested from the other attorney. We settled in mediation right before trial. Without Todd's help this would never had happened. Todd is an outstanding attorney that I strongly recommend.

The most recent experience with this amazing law firm came with a positive outcome. Without Todd, Chelsea, and Dakota I would have been overwhelmed with all the documents, exhibits, motions, and all the stress from court. They have been nothing but helpful throughtout my recent custody battle. Todd, Chelsea, Dakota, and Nicole (and their pups) do not help to fight OVER family cases, they help fight FOR families. Yes the prices to obtain a lawyer are not cheap as a previous review stated but good lawyers do not offer low prices. I have always believed in "you get what you pay for" and they fought for the best interest for a child and won. Stahly law firm was super flexible with their time they would arrange for me to meet during my lunch or even after hours. Todd and his "law family" helped me get my family back together. I am very satisfied with their service. I highly recommend them! Thank you Stahly family!

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE THIS LAW FIRM!! The lawyers only care about making money, not about their clients. The majority of work is done by paralegals (expensively charged for) not the lawyers and can be done much cheaper than their ridiculous rates. The lawyers are not available when you need them and when you have an inquiry about a charge on your bill, they just respond with a threat to pay immediately or they will report to creditors. You can find MUCH better service, quality and professionalism elsewhere from lawyers that actually care about people and the outcome of your case.
