I did a lot of research a few years ago because I knew I was going to get divorced and that I would have a difficult one to deal with. I started meeting with Samera at least two years before we actually started working together. I'm confident I hired the right team. All lawyers will burn your money fast, so take that off the table. The reality is, many times during the process I questioned myself by hiring Samera's team and started shopping around. What I found is there isn't anyone better out there despite the reviews.

Samera has excellent reviews and has earned them. Samera knows her sh*t. Also very important is the fact that the mediators and judges know and respect Samera. Samera will weed out the stuff that doesn't matter and tell you that. In fact she will tell you things you don't want to hear, but that is how the court will see it, so you need to listen to her. What I've learned over the years is to question my own judgement and just trust the process. I did that here, I trusted the process and I trusted Samera's team and it paid off. Samera and team kicked ass in the courtroom and in the handling of my case.

Samera and her team did an EXCELLENT job for me! At the time of our initial meeting, I explained the direction I wanted to go and her team did it and flawlessly without too much of my intervention. It is clear that you do not represent me, or have any regard for this case. Samera assured me when we first met on the 31st of August that she doesn't charge for consultation's because "she really cares" and that she resonated with my situation because she had been through a rough time also. Initially, she said she could take on the case for $1,500. As I was gathering my funds and attended another emergency orders hearing in Jeffco, I met with Kaitlyn, the partner. This was the last contact I had in person with the firm on the 17th at the office and she assured me that if I could have the ($2000) funds by close of business on the 28th, that representation, only for the TO hearing on the 5th could take place. I called and spoke with you Macey, over the phone on Monday the 24th at 11:12 a.m. And you reassured me again that if I could have the funds by the 28th that I could retain council. You also mentioned that you had just brought on another attorney, so there would absolutely be someone available to represent me, for sure on the 5th, as long as I had the funds by Friday the 28th. On that day, I spoke with you first at 11:15a.m. to double check that someone would be available for the 5th and if you could take cash, and a credit card payment. You explained that Samera was not in the office and that you would try to get a hold of her, but that she had insisted the office would be closed by 12pm that day, instead of 1p.m., but that you would be there until close of business at 5p.m. If I could come and make the payment, anyway possible, and sign the fee agreement. You assured me that you would call me back by 12p.m. on Friday. I never heard back from you. I called and left messages at 11:57a.m. and again at 12:39p.m. then again on Monday the 1st at 9:23a.m. Even if you did not receive a voicemail until Monday, you still failed to inform me, until this 3rd party contacted the firm and wrote a review, that I would not be represented by SH Law Firm. You stonewalled me after I made multiple efforts to contact the firm. As a receptionist at a professional law firm, you failed in your duties and let the situation ripple out of your control and are trying to cover it up. This matter is absolutely unprofessional and judging from your defensive harsh response, I am sure that I am not the first, and won't be the last person that your firm affects in this way. It is reasonable that the firm needs to be protected because obviously your potential clients won't be. Lesson learned. Good riddance.

They charge way too much up front ($5,000), when men are already struggling financially due to child support payments and not even getting to see their kids. My husband hasn't seen his daughters since they were 8 and 9 years old and their 24 and 25 now and he's still paying!

Don’t waste your time looking for anyone else. Kaitlyn is a powerhouse. She is one of those few people that when you leave her you are inspired to do great things yourself. Both because she is so impressive in what she does, but also has a way of supporting and uplifting you without a thought. It is just in her nature to take care of people and this is true both personally and professionally. She’s brilliant and fights for her clients like a bulldog. She consistently wows not only her clients, but judges, opposing counsel and honestly anyone paying half attention. I think it’s because it doesn’t matter how large or small the case, she gives everything she has as if she’s defending her own family and that comes across clearly to anyone in the room. Im telling you, if you choose Dadvocates you’ll look back and say that was the best decision you could’ve made for yourself.

The 5 star reviews on here are fake! It seems Samera paid for a company to post 5 star reviews for her firm. Click on the names of the 5 star reviews. The fake reviewers only have 1 review and in some cases 2. The majority of these “reviewers” that have 2 reviews, have a second review from out of state. Notice other more senior attorneys you find, have 1/10th the number of reviews and have been practicing for 5x as long. Dadvocates is a couple year old firm Samera started. This is all indication of how fake these reviews are. Companies like Samera’s pay marketing companies to up their ratings on Google Reviews, just like she pays for her radio ads.

Notice that this firm is not registered on Better Business Bureau under Dadvocates. Notice Samera nor any attorneys at her firm, are reviewed or present on avvo. This is all by design to hide Samera and her firms pitiful, awful reputation with clients, the courts, and other attorneys. Ask around about her, to any respected attorney or judge in the Denver area, she is notorious for over charging clients and has an awful reputation with judges and other attorneys.

I hired Samera and it was the worst mistake I made in my entire divorce. A very very costly mistake. Her firm’s billing practices are beyond unethical. Expect to pay $2,000+ every week and be double charged by a para legal and an attorney for doing the exact same task. You will be charged for the attorney to correspond with the paralegal. You will pay for hours worth of labor to both the attorney and the paralegal for tasks that other attorneys accomplish in literally 1/4th the amount of time, on top of paying 4x as many hours at $150 an hour for a paralegal and $350 an hour for an attorney. When I finally terminated Samera and this firm, I found out she is notorious with the courts and other attorneys for over billing clients and has a very poor rapport with everybody in the industry.

She’ll seem great in your initial supposed “free” consultation. But don’t be fooled by that, you’ll see a charge for that consultation on your first invoice for $350 if you retain her. If you write her a two sentence email, she will add another attorney and the paralegal and you will be charged $125 for sending one email! If you email just one, they will add each other, and they will all bill you 0.2 hours. Don’t respond to the email or you’ll be charged another $125. The minimum she charges is 0.2 hours. There’s no consolidation or grouping of tasks.

If they read an email, draft a document, then submit, expect to be billed 0.2 hours by the para legal for your email, 0.2 hours for the attorney for your email, then 2 hours to work on a one page document by the paralegal, 1 hour by the attorney to “draft and review” the same document, then another 0.2 hours for the paralegal to click submit and “e-file” your document, then 0.2 hours for the paralegal to type you an email that your document has been submitted, and finally 0.2 hours for the attorney to read the paralegals email that your document has been submitted. If they have a task that should take 1 hour total, they will steal your retainer in the above manner.

There are good attorneys out there. I advise you to speak with the the Colorado Bar Association. I know how hard it is when you don’t know how to locate a good attorney and are about to settle on Samera because she has a cool firm name and impressive looking website and bio. She tries to cater to a niche, being fathers, but she’s actually preying on them. You’re willing to do whatever it takes to keep your kids and you think you’re hiring the best, but the opposite couldn’t be more true.

Samera will respond to this review that either a) She doesn’t know me or b) Will attempt to hide behind Attorney/Client privilege and state this isn’t an accurate representation of the situation. This is her game. The bad reviews on here a REAL. The 5 star reviews on here are FAKE. I just wished I had seen a review like this before I burned tens of thousands of dollars. I’m trying to save other people from her scam.

Samera and her team were wonderful, I was probably the difficult one at times given the stress I was under worrying about my granddaughter and her well being. The firm was very professional and I am grateful for the hard work and dedication put into my case that ultimately worked in my favor. Divorce is a hardest thing I ever had experience in my life with especially when a little child is involved. Family law in US wasn't written for man, l've been fighting for 50% custody for year and half now witch was taking away from me by Denver Court without my knowlage while I was deployed believe or not but. Samera Habib and her team are my 4th lowers. I had 3 lowers before I hired S/H Low Firm. All my previos lawers did charged me thousands of dollars and never did anything for me. Samera is rude, unprofessional, dismissive and uncaring about clients. Be sure you do not have a complex case, she isn't willing to hear the details that will help win your case or that answer her direct question. Look elsewhere for professionals, you won't find that here.

Absolute worst experience I have ever had in my life. I have always thought, since you are paying for the best, you will be treated kindly, respectfully, and show you actually care. I paid to have Samara help me, and I could not even receive any help because I was completely judged, when I am your literal normal human being that dresses well and is very respectful. Once I was disrespected by both her and her staff on a constant basis, I ended up firing her. When I am paying for their services, I should be treated like an actual human being and not the exact opposite. I was there for help and guidance and paying a substantial amount of money and was treated like an actual piece of garbage. Not willing to help unless I can come to the office location, when I explain due to my current situation I'm not able to come into the office. I plan to file a complaint with the Colorado State Board.

Samera and her staff have shown the utmost care and professionalism in regards to my case as well as other cases I have seen her in. My divorce was very high conflict, but the way she handled it in and out of the courtroom was amazing. She eventually got me what I was asking for despite the ups and downs and difficulties in the case and she handled it with ease. I have referred at least a handful of clients to her, many of whom she has or is currently representing. The results are unanimous and I stand by Samera and the staff she has put in place.
