My first DUI and last . I had a very high BAC . Jennifer helped me get minimum everything even waiving a court fee ! Not only that, but she was able to get me no jail time ! Jennifer represented me on my 2nd dui offense. From the start she was incredible! Always staying in contact and always studying and staying on top of her case. She really fights for you and it shows! If you are interested in my story, here it goes.....I'm a 30yrs old working professional with doctorate-level education. I moved to Colorado last year and didn't know about the DWAI laws and ended up being arrested for DUI+Reckless driving...God I was scared, horrified and was feeling helpless at the time. The whole world was spinning in my head. Alot of questions...ruminations...anxiety. I remembered that I sent emails to 4 different lawyers the next day (it was a Saturday)...Jennifer was the first one who called me less than 1hr afterwards. I talked to her and based on her questions immediately felt like "she knows this process very well!". The impression that I never received from other lawyers that I talked to and/or met with. Fast forward, I met with her and shared my concerns regarding career, immigration, potential jail sentencing and etc. She was calm, respectful, nonjudgmental and empathic in regards. Based on her advise, I started Level II alcohol education class immediately and signed up for some volunteer works and MADD panel. It took 8weeks to appear before the judge with BAC of 0.07, however, we gathered and presented the documents regarding my attendances and my career. We plead quality on DWAI and reckless driving was dismissed. Unbelievably, my sentencing was lower that any minimums! No jail, no probation, no work release, no house arrest or etc. Just minimum fines and the finishing the level II classes with 24hr community service which already got credited from my volunteering. Takehome: There is a lot you can do before appearing in the court and Please do so! You wont' believe how impactful those can be...and It starts by calling Jennifer!

Ms. Watkins took on my drag racing ticket (a 12 point deduction from my license) that I received, and was able to save my license from being revoked. She told me to gather specific letters, take a certain driving class, and bargained with a tough city prosecutor to take an original plea deal (8 points taken away) down to a reduction of 5 points total. All of this was done professionally, organized, and without hesitation. I highly appreciate her, and would recommend Ms. Watkins to anyone needing her assistance in traffic-related incidents.

Ms. Watkins did an outstanding job representing my daughter in her DUI case. She stepped us though all the appropriate actions we needed to take to get as favorable an outcome at here trial. I was arrested for my first DUI in early April, and my mind went to the worst possible places—potentially losing my job, my money, and the respect of my friends, family, and self. Ms. Watkins is amazing, I was arrested for a DUI, Driving Under Revocation, Leaving the Scene of an Accident/-Damage, Careless Driving, all dismissed. No jail, unsupervised probation, no community service, minimum fines, she convinced the DA he couldn't prove the cases and got the DUI and all those other charges dismissed. After moving to Colorado from Florida, I found myself in a bind when I was charged with a DUI of a high BAC (over .2). I had never been criminally charged before, and I didn't really know where to turn. As many of you reading these reviews did, I contacted 10+ attorneys that would represent me in Weld County. I received a traffic ticket that was probably justified. I needed someone to help try to get me a good plea bargain due to my current job and the importance of having a good record. Hiring Jennifer Watkins was one of the best decisions I made after I got my DUI. She has been working in the Boulder/surrounding areas for almost 20 years, and she knows all of the specific laws and about who works those districts. She is dedicated, hard-working, and dependable. She was always straight-forward with me, and her advice comes from years of experience. With her advice, I requested a DMV hearing and that the arresting officer be present. When the officer failed to show up, I wont that hearing automatically. That means I got to keep my license when I should have lost it. Then, when we got a DA who was trying to give me harsh penalties (30 days in jail), she postponed the court date, which eventually led to a new DA taking over my case. She pushed the new DA until he agreed to drop the charges of DUI to DWAI, and drop the charges of Reckless Driving to Weaving. This greatly reduced the amount of fine, alcohol classes, probation, and community service that I would be court mandated. Also, under her guidance, I was able to persuade the judge not to sentence me to jail. Lastly, getting the Reckless Driving bumped down to Weaving kept the amount of points on my license under 12, which means that I get to keep my license and the right to drive. She was able to save my license twice, keep me out of jail, and minimize the penalties that I was served. To anyone considering hiring her, I strongly recommend that you do, because not only will she fight for you, she is a genuinely good person who enjoys helping people who make a mistake.

I realized there were some consequences to face and I had succumb to the idealism of my nature. In many words, she said I’d be going to jail for a year. My response did not surprise her.

I was willing to accept whatever penalty, but a year in jail was not an option. I needed to find an attorney. After doing some research online, Ms. Watkins looked like a great option.
